Why should i not become a mechanic being a mechanic is a great career choice its a skill for life which can follow you all around the world.And as a apprentise mechanic thats where you build up your tools and if you stay with the same garage for the duration of the apprentiship some garages buy you the tools as a thank you or you start to get and use the garages discount to help build your tools and chests

What about a Mechanic at Sea or RAF. I started out wanting to be a TV Service Technician, but couldn't find a job doing that after spending a year full time at Riverdale College (now no longer) then I got a job as an Apprentice Electrical engineer 4 years day release at Old Swan Tech (Now an Aldi)😭. Then Maggie Thatcher came along Company I worked for closed down so had to move 200 Miles away at 21 to work for Lucas Aerospace which also closed down(now a waste land)😪. Moved on to Telecoms for BT and got made Redundant due to Thatcher again. Always managed to find a job including working on Gas. Now retired due to I'll health, but if I could turn the clock back I would of liked to have been a Science Teacher or Lawyer. Good luck Chris on whatever career you decide. Just remember most jobs are way better than no job and most jobs are even better if you can work for yourself.

Did 3 years in college to become a mechanic and by the end of it, I gave up pursuing it. Learned valuable skills though.
