warhammer figures are superb Design wise a LOT of detail on all the pieces, I’m not a gamer but I can’t wait to get a kit to try to paint up, with your expertise I can’t wait

Yeah very worth it. This is $75 in NZ whereas the Warriors alone are $90... You get a Royal Warden which is a decent Character and the marines which you can sell on if you wish.

Understated Value for folks who have the Kill Team Box as well. You can almost field a faction of Hierotek vs. Intercessors if you get creative with loadout. For $43 USD at most game shops, you're silly for not picking this up.

dunno if the us pricing is the same, but it's literally cheaper to buy this than a box of necron warriors. Plus if you don't want the space marines you can sell them off. You get the warriors you want, scarabs and the royal warden, its such good value on the necron side of the box. Plus more dice is always nice

Ever since the recent South Park episode I’ve been goin on dive of Warhammer. I’m curious to get into it but still on the fence since I’ve never played or been into tabletop games

I think its worth it. Im new, havnt played an actual game yet. Right now Im easing into learning how to play while really enjoying painting the models. For about $180 CAD I got the assault intercessor paint and model starter, the necron paint and model starter and the recruit starter. So for under $200 CAD Ive got 13 necron warriors, 8 assault intercessors, 3 scarabs, a character on each side plus all the transfers, book, mat, dice etc. and especially, all the citadel paint to paint them with. Savings! Starter paint kits discontinued for online sale at GW site. I picked up the last marine paint set at a hobby store and the necron paint set I had to order from Ebay as no stores have them on the shelves anymore. At least where I am , which really isnt too far from a major city either. Happy hunting.

This box is low key value if you want to get into kill team. 2 teams for 60$ (Canadian $$$)would give you a good feel for the game before you buy a specialist team.

I just got this starter set a few days ago from Ebay and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. Its December 2023 and the reason why I got this instead of the 10th edition because I like the necrons better than the tyranids witch comes with the 10th edition.

I just approached Warhammer 40k something like...2 or 3 days ago and I was thinking about buying this set, since seems to have pretty much material for the price itelf... and since the other expansions cost something like 50 dollars for only 5 or less figures some times.. but this helped me a lot! thank you soo much, i think i'll get it and see how it goes.. so buying this and only this set i can start playing already? ( of course i need to buy the paints also)

With this box and the kill team essentials you can basically play a game of kill team with the free rules.

If you want necron warriors this is cheaper than buying 10 warriors, plus you get all the space marines as well (can be sold to further cheapen the deal) Here in Australia the necron warriors are $77 and the recruit box is $65

Hello I am new and have a question if possible could you answer. I want to build a daemon army, I have purchased some models but upon arrival and inspection I realised that they may not work together. I have brought 1x great unclean one 1x daemon prince 1x pox bringer 1x infernal enrapturess 1x blood master 1x bloodletter unit And the bit that throws me off I was gifted a death guard combat patrol, can I use this in the same list? If so, what disadvantages or advantages does it pose for me. Thanks

I’m so sorry for not messaging back!! I took a few months off of KZfaq and painting. But I’m back, so unfortunately I don’t think I have the knowledge to answer that question right now. But let me ask, are you playing for fun or at tournaments? 🏟️

Seriously people, if you want to start playing Warhammer 40K right now then buy this Recruit Set while it lasts. Why? First, they don't really make Primaris Lieutenants with relic shield and the Royal Wardens anymore so those 2 models are rare now. Second, you got 10 Necron Warriors and 3 Scarabs + 5 Assault Intercessor models, which is A STEAL!! Third, you got very much basic building from the box for the terrain, GW will not release the similar thing anymore on the upcoming 10th ed Introductory Set. Final thing is, you can also use the models to play Kill Teams matches. As of now, Intercessors Squad Kill Team is one of the best team available to play for beginners (I managed to defeat a unit of Custodes Kill Team with my Intercessors!). So yeah, buy 'em while it lasts!!

this box isnt really value anymore because necron warriors were nerfed so hard they probably wont even be playable in 10th unless their points cost drops 30% you are 100% better off putting the money towards leviathan because at least youll be able to sell those models on the secondary market unlike necron warriors and assault marines which NOBODY will want in 10th

@@thepacketnarc7634 what do you mean? necron warriors are still selling for £15.00 for the sprue of 10 and 3 scarabs on the secondary market. Which is considerably cheaper than the £30.00 they sell for full retail. Anything necron from the indomitus boxset is still dirt cheap except for the royal court units.

@@Khobai That may be true where you live, sure. But at local shops here in the US, this box is about 42 USD (£34). So spending $20-25USD for Necron Army alone and waiting for the post when you can buy the recruit box AND get a set of Marines to trade or use for Kill Team AND you get the Primaris Left'enant :) that's about $20USD on the open market. So you get free dice, paper cards, a small booklet and a little crappy 'box' for terrain piece, for a new player is a very good deal. So, sure this isn't a STEAL of the century and not for everyone. BUT, for someone who is fairly new, and doesn't have the time to bargain shop on forums or eBay it's good value for money and plenty of little game and hobby shops still have them. Many of the players who have helped me get into the hobby pointed me to this specific box as a cheap way to get Necron Warriors and Warden and almost ALL volunteered to take the SM's off my hands in exchange for other things.

Absolutely not worth it right now. Considering that 10th edition will change a lot probably the best thing is to wait something like it after 10th edition release. If you want to build space marines army or necrons army there are better kits

agreed about the 10th ed changes but 125$ value for 45$ not worth it?

Absolutely still worth it PLUS 10th edition rules are free as are Kill Team Skirmish rules. This is an absolute bargain no matter how you slice it. A box of Necrons x 10 with the 3 scarabs is $40 almost anywhere, and same goes for the 5 Intercessors. Silly.

@KYF40k where can you find a recruit edition for 45bucks? The lowest I can find is still around 90. BTW it's kinda worth it if you sell half of the minis. Maybe. I personally prefer to buy what I need and not a box like that. If I'm looking for something to start I guess combat patrols are better
