I wish I had this info a yr ago. Thankfully I did read eBay’s advantages of each store ( a lot of reading ;) ) and decided a Starter store was ok but a Basic @ 21.95 mo was better. As a serious new reseller I realized I wanted Top Rated then Top Rated Plus Seller really bad. A step up in stores helped me get that along with the other prerequisites. The advantages are worth it as I work hard to build a lucrative part time business. Again Sarah… thank you this info which gave me more fuel for my quest.

Yes you are exactly right! And I find many people recommend a store based on listings and it offers so much more than just that!

Great info. One thing to make clear is eBay's selling limits. True you might get 1000 free eBay listings with the basic store but that is only if you are granted the higher selling limits. I misunderstood this when I first set up a store and thought I'd get to list 1000 items, I was wrong, I still was stuck in the 250 selling limits until I eventually got to list more. Just want to point that out. Some folks just starting out might want to go ahead and get the starter store and you can always move up to the basic once you are released from those 250 selling limits.

i tried it for a month over 250 items...never sold anything extra out of my normal sales. the only 1 plus was ability to send coupons but my profit margins are not big anyway so really i would not be doing that alot and i already offer multi-buy discounts. there are listing fees sometimes when you have a store too, ands its fully allowed to sell as a trader using a private normal account as long as you do the tax...here in the uk if a trader you get £1k a year limit and anything over that needs tax paying. i get free listings on my private account. my private account i get 1k free listings a month and then it resets. bene like this for years so i am someone who is not saving anything by having a shop really

Even on Amazon I shop with certain stores if I get a product from them and liked it. I don't think Amazon does a good job of promoting stores though and many Amazon sellers don't have their stores properly setup. I've done all the ebay store features except the video too, I'm not sure what I want to put there as I don't use myself for promoting my store. The only thing I can think of is maybe making a video with photos of new items? IDK, did you have any ideas or plans for your video?

Well, I tryed and rested.....made the same amount of sales paid for featured store $75 for store + $33 extra tax for store. Your not just paying store fee you pay tax fee on top for store. You also pay tax on every sale even if you have only sold $100 in items.

Are you talking about sales tax income tax or what? A store will also save you on eBay final value fees.

No, I ment you pay for store and monthly tax amount on store. You pay gst tax fee on every item sold as well as fees here in Aus.
