Bought one in November with no experience what so ever. Set up took 10m. Had to make a minor z axis adjustment after auto level and have since been printing pla and pla+ with no trouble at all, very minimal adjustments in the slicer. I’ve started printing TPU FPV parts successfully as well. Great machine straight out of the box.

I've been printing several tabletop RPG minis with this printer, and after a 800 to 1200 grit sanding, it's just as good and detailed as 20€ minis you buy in usual shops, except it takes around 70cm of PLA filament. I let you do the math. This is my first 3D printer and i'm absolutely a fan of it.

I got mine a couple of days ago and I've already printed 4 things on it and I'm very impressed with the quality and speed. I also have the Ender 3 Pro. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it as I don't know how much I'll end up using it. Setting the Z offset was a pain and if the bed was slightly warped, it couldn't account for it. I did a fair amount of upgrades to it and was able to get successful prints but the quality was subpar.

Yeah honestly setting the Z-Offset was the single biggest pain for me on the Ender 3 Pro as well. It also just feels like whatever you do you make it worse. I do kinda miss the ability to upgrade, but at the same time i'm so happy i can actually just spend more time printing than fixing things.

I’m struggling to decide if I should upgrade from my Ender 3 pro, or just add a level probe to my printer. When I get it level, my prints turn out great and overall I don’t have many issues. But faster print times is so tempting, along with the other upgrades. Did you really notice a big improvement between prints and time taken? Enough to warrant an upgrade?

I'm boxing mine up and sending it back to Amazon. I got 5 prints out of it and then it became a useless paperweight. Mechanically it works but it fails to print anything now. The printer head remains stationary during the print job and what would be a 10-hour job, the display says it's completed after only a couple of minutes, and nothing extruded on the bed. Meanwhile, My AnyCubic Kobra Max is working like a champ with no issues.

...Auto bed levelling...it does everything completely by itsself... Right! Provided you don't get a print bed which is warped in all directions by up to 4mm like mine! And as a complete beginner, I did not notice that of course. The first couple of small parts printed fine. The first print with a bigger area ended in a complete catastrophy! I needed to get a new printbed and a new hot end! (warranty) My advise to beginners: After assembly check your print bed by roughly by measuring the distance from the z-axis bridge down to the print bed before you start anything. If the difference is more than 1mm. adjust your print bed manually first.

@aklstreak Ай бұрын
@@caverramos7581 You measure with a depth gauge from the x-axis beam down to the print bed. Adjust major differences with shims or other thin material, or even bend the substructure of the print bed accordingly. Adjust again by tighteneing the scres accordingly.

I just picked this printer up about 2.5wks ago. This is my 1st 3D printer. It was easy to get together & start printing. The speed & print quality was amazing. But here we are at about 12-15hrs of printing & already have a failure, "Nozzle Temp Too Low". So I searched..... And searched.... Aaaaaand searched for a replacement thermistor since it's the easiest approach to start troubleshooting this issue, while I wait for Creality to get back to me, and I can't believe I can't find anything for the Ender-3 v3 SE. Plenty of thermistors for every other model they make but not this one, not even at their site (which blows when searching for parts). And as an electrical engineer of 23+ yrs, this seems to be a serious design issue after doing research and finding how often these thermistor issues occurs. I use thermistors in designs at work to monitor high temperatures on various electronics, LED backlights & other components. In soo many years, I have rarely ever seen a thermistor failure. So today I took the thermistor out & noticed that the thermal compound used was crumbling, like old stale compound. I cleaned it out & put quality thermal grease compound & reassembled. Going to test it out tomorrow & see if that was the issue. Hoping this was the issue, if not, I continue to wait for Creality to respond.

@@Annoye hoping to find out tomorrow, I have the printer at work in my office & of course murphy's law, I'm spending most of my days this week in my lab. Haven't run into the same issue and since you say you can't find anything on it online i think it's probably quite rare. I'm no expert as i said in the beginning, but bad thermal compound does sound like the most logical explanation. I'd also love an update on that once you test the new compound, even if i don't have the issue (yet) it's always better to know a fix than to need a fix! Also thank you very much for watching and for taking the time to write a comment! :)

@@Magnos Same here, this is my first printer, never have used one either. Luckily several of my coworkers own & have experience with them & they were able to get me started. Plus we recently picked up a $15k 3D printer at our company, thing is bigger than a standard washing machine lol. But back to my issue, it appears that cleaning out the crappy thermal compound & replacing it with a fresh high quality compound seem to have done the trick. I printed out a calibration cube twice that took 22mins each & then a fan blade for an EDF that I'm making that took 2hr 14mins. The temps stayed stable at 210 as set. I did have to recalibrate my z offset after putting everything back together since I had to disassemble the z probe needle thing (not sure that's what it's called lol) to get to the thermistor. After running the auto z calibration, it printed the 2nd cube & propeller blade perfectly fine. Hope this helps anyone whom ever runs into this issue. Sharing knowledge is power 💪👊😎👍

Got one 1,5 weeks ago. Complete novice. Set up was easy and I was printing in less than 30 minutes. First prints were quite nice too. No regrets, certainly not for that money. Two small complaints: the updating process is kind of messed up. I can't seem to update the printer itself, it just does nothing when I insert the SD card and I yet have to find a micro SD that I can use for the screen. The smallest I have is 128 GB and that cannot be formatted in FAT32, at least it fails on my PC every time. It's also beyond me why you would have to update those two seperately. The other is that I don't get why the bed has to heat up to 65 degrees for the auto levelling. I did that after 5 prints and changing the spool (just to be sure) and on the following print got complete spaghetti, making an utter mess with the nozzle slam-dunking into the PLA. I initially panicked, thinking I broke the printer within a couple of days. Took me a while to figure out that had to do with the bed being too warm after the auto levelling. If the 65 degrees are really required for the auto level, why the printer doesn't wait until it's cooled back down to the 50-55 it needs for the PLA print to adhere to the bed?

Honestly, i should probably ammend my video, i have since sent back my V3SE and instead bought a Qidi Q1 Pro. I had quite a few issues with the V3SE that only started appearing after a few months. Most egregious of those was the fact that the bed kept warping more and more to the point where not even the ABL could compensate for it. My first layers got worse and worse, and the bed also started becoming quite scuffed. Now, i know that not everyone has these issues with the printer, but honestly i'm very glad that i spent the 250 bucks more to get the Qidi Q1 Pro. It has been running for two months without any issues, it's way faster, it has built-in wifi and open source klipper firmware with a web interface, and both the leveling as well as the bed plate are just so much better. ALso it's CoreXY which is always better than a Bedslinger. But of course not everyone has that money, and i don't wanna make you feel bad for having gotten the printer, i just wanna be honest about my experience with it!

Hello Thank you for the review. I have an Ender3 S1 printer that I bought about 10 months ago. Does this make sense to sell my printer and buy Ender3 V3 SE? If it were you, would you change it? Because I'll probably lose some money. The only question I have about this printer is whether automatic alignment will cause problems over time. Because while intervention is possible in a manually adjusted printer, this does not seem possible in Ender3 V3.

But I hate doing it (and have to do it often) Will be nice to auto level and auto z-offset my new V3 (which comes tomorrow) I assume it's too new to play with custom firmwares (Jyers or MriscoC)... That's kind of my problem. I always fix what isn't broken... Sometimes I BREAK what isn't broken. It's the plight of a tinkerer. (and the stock E3V2 _needed_ a custom firmware upgrade. My bed has started warping more and more and i've been having issues with adhesion in some places. There have also been a few small issues that went away over time, but nothing major.
@leonda4817
@leonda4817 9 ай бұрын
Genial!

I'm happy that it's gone well for you, @@Magnos I just returned mine to Amazon. Regarding Cura... fun fact, Cura doesn't support the V3 SE... the ONLY slicer that does is Creality Print. For a Printer who's so wildly popular on youtube one has to question why the most prolific slicer software hasn't created a supporting profile? There's work arounds for Prusa Slicer but... again... if this is the "perfect beginner printer" why does it take an experienced printer to make the thing work?? In fact, the one positive thing I can say about this "beginner" printer is that I learned all about the major components of 3D printing because I had to troubleshoot them all! Oh, you wanna update the firmware? You're gunna need two different media formats and place them in two different locations... and if you don't do them in the right order you're hosed unless you speak Chinese. I ordered a Prusa, though that Bambu does look well reviewed... that said, the V3 SE was also "well reviewed." The Prusa was recommended to me by a mechanical engineer friend of mine. Hat's off to Creality's marketing department though.

And even the bedslingers that are faster either cost more, or lack some other of the quality of life features the V3 SE has. So yeah, my review isn't really trying to say the V3 SE is the best printer there is, but more i just want to show that it's a very good allrounder that's easy to use :) Thank you for your comment!
