Also 1 thing that make chongyue struggled for new players to build him is the problem to get T5 salt material to mastery his 3rd skill, since it's only craft available when you clear chapter 11-3.

To easily get it, you can use the story environment from chapter 9-11 since you can unlock it that way.

you *can* technically get the salt from S9-2, but that requires you to go through like, 14 stages. not to mention most of the stages are quite hard, especially for a newbie. the drop rate for those arent even that high either and you need 6 of them💀

Fun fact: chongus have an amazing synergy with skalter, while other operators only get an extra 200 attack for some reason chongyue applies first skalter buff then the skill, making him dealing some serious dps

Is really simple, if there is a +xx% it means the attacks will deal the current op attack plus the xx% amount of attack based on the base attack of the op, insted if there is not a + and just xx% then is a multiplicative skill, meaning it takes the current attack of the op , counting the buffs and the base damage, and multiplies it by xx% .

@@BloodSavedMe He's right though, this has been something known since the game launched. Chongyue's skills do not buff his own ATK and are ATK multipliers, and he's EXTREMELY far from the only operator like this (Blue Poison S1, basically any Swordmaster Guard, etc). Skalter has high synergy with any low base ATK, multi-hitting operators.

Something great about Chong Yue is that all of his skills scale on attack percent, rather than increasing his overall attack stat. This means he scales incredibly well with anyone with an attack buff like Warfarin, Aak or Stainless, since his output doesn't fall off as hard due to its scaling type when compared to attack increasers.

Stainless stocks just keep rising! having Thorns, Reed, and Chongyue all on one squad so they can beat tf out out of his turret and all activate their skills and traits super easy. If there's space for Stainless too they take forever to kill the turret because he fixes it too fast

@flyinggecko6617 That's really not true for a number of reasons due to how ATK scaling works. An equivalently leveled Skalter will always give Chongyue close to a 50% ATK buff while he's pumping out 300%+ Potency skills. That's pretty nutty tbh. His extremely low ATK (for a Guard) is the key here, since you will gain pretty much the same amount of use out of Warfarin's S2...only permanently.

Already M3ing his S3. He and Lin spooked me in one 10 pull so why not, right? But I would say he is a very nice unit. It's not a I-win-now button like Texas or Młynar but a good supplement to deal with the early rush, especially with a healer who can boost him like Warfarin. Block 1 hurts a bit but once he gets going with his S3 he can hold literal waves of enemies or rather nuke them out of existence. He provides a fun challenge for me as I have to work around that warm up of his. Plus he is a badass dude in a game swarmed with chicks. And his VA is literally Muzan from Demon Slayer so the ASMR is here too. I like to put him with Saria or as I mentioned Warfarin and have a nice coverage until Młynar decides to finish his newspaper.

Mlynar is too overated i think. He has his flaw. practicaly being a statue for around 30-40s. I dont know about the 'i have max s3m3 mylnar i win' situation or im not using him correctly

@@jdeverest7600 It takes some getting used to. You have to stall the enemies for him a bit but overall it doesnt take that much of chargning for him to get going. Thing is, when he pops he deals such absurd dmg, he puts to shame all other operators even if half of his time he is reading the newspaper. You can pair him up with some tanks like Saria or Liskarm for even faster recharge. But he is also tanky so he will survive any poor positioning with little support. And if you are still not convinced then watch some ridiculous CC clears where Młynar is basically soloing stuff. He has been the core of my team ever since I got him.

one more information to add is that he is really good with atk buff, especially from Skadi alter because not only she improve Chongyue's attack but also give him health regeneration and defence.

You are kinda unfair to him and underestimate the guy. He is the best option against all general content, he has the highest sustained physical DPS right now and he is an AFK king. Yes, his only viable skill is S3, but same with Thorns, Mlynar, Surtr etc., it doesn't make them worse. Don't have the resources - your problem. They are still a good investment even if you can't use them right now. And he has no issue with high armour enemies. You see for yourself, he shreds Patriot's shielders like paper. He also don't have any problems with risk 18, and high-risk content is optional and non-rewarding anyway. He doesn't struggle with sustain that much, he is 1 block and he often kills enemies before they can come to him. And all of his problems can be solved. Can't penetrate super high armor? Need sustain? Put Skalter. Some elite enemy comes and kills him? Put someone in front of him, it's that simple. He is very comfortable and will be a very good addition to a regular player's account. Especially if you like AFKnights.

Yes. Also thankfully I managed to spark Nian. And it gave me enough gold certs to buy the packs from the gold cert twice. So I only need to spend little orundum to get a guaranteed Yato.

Got him at 74 pulls as I roll on all limited banners. Always a relief to get them early. Not really sure if I want to use him, but the e2 wasn't too expensive so he became my number 94. Still have to get rat girl but won't try too hard this event. Will get her eventually.

As a long time player with a well built roster, he's insane and I highly recommend him. He's absurd in integrated strategies. I'm not sure why anyone would rate him low especially if u have skalter

because they made him pretty weak compared to most limited ground unite mechanic-wise. he lack survival, putting him in hellagur class would be better sustain + increase aspd his skills could be better, like his S3 would be real shit if it allows him attack flying enemies. or make it cost 6 at M3 doesn't sound that broken, considering we already have more broken operators. I'm still mad they made him like this considering he supposed to be the foundation of kung fu, and the oldest sibling in sui family even. like man, how did a mafia become more broken than this man.

Cause, tbh, he isn't adding much if you only cares for meta. I contemplated whether to pull him or not, since i got baited by the previous normal banner and yato alter is coming soon, but I yielded at the end cause he is limited Sui sibling and that 10 dp lane holder looks tempting. But at the end, I will fare pretty well anyway without him in the team.

Because, while good, he's not really all that versatile and needs a babysitter to actually help him carry his weight. I rolled for him too but if he wasn't limited he would be one of the easiest skips at this point in the game

This banner I think is kinda niche (Except for Ling :v). I said this because chong yue needs a lot of time just to make his skill auto, as for Lin, she is just good for baiting the enemy attack and not really good on the offensive attack either (I said this because I don't really use phalanx caster) Other than this two, the only Operator worth pull is neither Nian or Ling,

Not sure where to ask this, but does Sui siblings banner only comes once a year during anniversary? I just got back playing Arknights bc I fell hard for Chong Yue when he was first released on CN, thankfully I got him alrd but now I really want to get all his sisters as well ;~; (I can do up to total 300 pulls on the banner so I know I can at least get 1 of the sister to come via shop, but I'm not confident I can get all 3 of them just by pulling 😢 so I'm just wondering when will Sui siblings banner comes again so I can save up enough to get the remaining sisters!)

people didn't read the last line of his skill: this skill deals damage an extra time. it means the 380% damage he deal will be 760% instead, and this triggers each 4 hit he deals. combine with his passive, which is an extra 55% of damage dealt. this is why in most of chongyue vs bosses videos, he can deal twice, hell, maybe even 5 times more damage than mountain will ever deal. mountain is good, but when facing bosses that can out damage his heal, the mountain fans will use other ops instead. chongyue however will use same strat, him with healer/behind a tank. and good part is? the 760% isn't just for 30 second, or to 1 enemy, but for each 4 hit he deals. he seriously good and broken, its just he can be better.

I have no doubt if he can deal aerial enemies, he can be on the same level as chalter, with his outrageous burst each 4 hit. and being a fast attacker, it doesn't take 4 second to trigger it even.

I am a new player started about a week ago, I just got this guy I am very disappointed... I wanted to get Lin and she is also a caster, I only have built Amiya and other 4star one Lava I think?.. I was ok with getting anyone at all other than this guy but had to get the one which I didn't want. I also already have Silverash and La pluma which are great already.

Arknights is hell bent on trying to teach me to resist temptation. If I want Rosmantis, I need to no longer pull for every shiny 6-star. I caved for Reed Alter, and now I need to build up my savings again. Here's hoping I get at least one Sui sibling from the free pulls before the event is over!

I cant use him anywhere on the current event so i just try it on IS2 then get stainless+ sp charger and he spaming skill on enemy Next time maybe i want to try 5 guard attackspeed chong yue on SSS
