AC 1 is a fun game to jump back into after the many sequels that followed it. No in game store, no advertising on the loading screen, no need to buy medicine or upgrade weaponry, just load up the game, assassinate some people, follow a short linear story and have complete freedom in your parkour. Complete breath of fresh air compared to modern gaming, I definitely recommend to anyone to give it a shot in 2024.

Replaying AC1 once every year is a tradition for me. The nostalgia hits harder than Lego. Altair’s the GOAT. I also agree with AC1 Altair sounding better than the one in Revelations. It just has a cold tone to it.

I wouldn’t say assassins creed 3 has a better modern day than ac1. The modern day in ac1 is more mystery surrounded and is a good difference from the animus. I like when the modern day story feels different and isn’t the same as the animus story

I can see where you’re coming from, but I disagree. We spent 4 games building up our skills as Desmond and then we finally got to use them in AC3. Also the mission where Desmond goes and rescues his dad is peak

The writing in this game was far more mature than any other AC game. Alraïr was also the only AC protagonist who felt like he was an actual assassin. Not just due to actually being the true hashashin, but because he is the ONLY one who was raised specifically for what he does, whereas Ezio was a teen playboy that just suddenly gained assassin skills and others entered the Assassin order at a much later stage in life. He was also just the most badass. Also like his original voice the most. His dialogue with Almuhalim was also pretty great to listen to.

I recently played the game. Here's my review: Altair is great character, and his character development is one of the best in the series. When you play as him, you felt like cold-bloded, deadly as well as kind an assassin. The game graphics is kinda hurt your eyes, but grayish filter gives a unique feeling and represents the story. Gameplay feels smooth and easy to understand. Stealth is mid but inflitiration , making your way to the target and avoiding enemies are satisfying. Combat is surprisingly very good and if you are good at timing, it's gonna be easy to defeat hordes of enemy with ease. Parkour is smooth, managable and fast. Only problem is Altair climbs slow compared to other characters, but it mostly felt slow when climbing up to sync points. Otherwise, you don't see a difference. Lastly main missions are repetetive but game is short if you only focus on main objectives.While side missions offers more variety and fun to do. Game is 8.5/10. It's all coming from a kenway saga enjoyer and ac1 is absoultely hold up to this day. I believe every ac fan should play the game at least once.

It's a speedrunnig technique that many speedrunners use in order not waste time when they are doing their speedrun though majority of the dialogue cannot be skipped by any means these informer challenges dialogue can be skipped tho check other youtubers that do speedruns if you are interested into that they have alot of tricks and skips that they integrate in their speedruning gameplays.

AC1 is worth replaying once in a while, usually for nostalgia and story purposes. Personally, I don't recommend collecting the flags, for there's this glitch making a few missing. Though killing the 60 Templars and having conversations with Lucy and Vidic are worthwhile.

I have kindaaa mixed feelings for this game, the stealth is really lackluster, combat was too really, the parkour wasn't really bad, tbh it just felt REALLY REALLY repetitive, Modern story was kinda decent much better than Odyssey and Origins imo, Story was amazing and yes as you said Altaïr's VA in Ac1 did an amazing Job expressing emotions *(No hate to the Revelations VA)* but yeah this game has it's goods and bads it's not necessarily a bad game nor a good one.

There's a lot more to the parkour and combat than the game tells us. I learned from a bunch of YT videos and AC1 is so much better using these mechanics to their full potential. Or at least to the best of my limited ability

I think the only thing I didn’t really like about the game was almost every time I got the “informer assignation” missions, at the very least I got to avoid those by just doing other missions.

I now want to go and buy this again so I can play it an awesome game when I first played it last year it got me into Assassin’s creed the Desmond story was one reason why I purchased the others because I wanted to see were that story headed and the other reason was because I wanted to play as the other assassins as in Ezio and Connor

i played it back in the day when it first came out. i was excited because some of my friends said that it's similar to prince of persia which is one of my favourite game franchise. and it blowed me away, it's really good when it came out. but now it (obviously) feels really outdated. after playing too many games with good stories i just can't get over with how ac1's story is pretty straight forward and generic. i would recommend the game if you want to start off playing all of the assassin's creeds because ac1 is pretty important for the Ezio trilogy. but if you're just looking for games to play i wouldn't recommend it.

Idk how it exactly works if it’s deeper then this but you can actually use the hidden blade in combat somewhat- I’ve been able to switch to it mid fight and catch a soldier off guard and assassinate him

I play on console and it does have some bad quirks like when you climb a ledge and you see an obvious route altiar could climb but he just doesn’t unless you shimmy to the left a little- but I’ve learned to really love the parkour here. It’s not perfect but I wish we expanded on it and improved a little more. I know it’s slow but it’s really immersive and realistic, everyone else feels like a flying super hero but this is the only game with pretty grounded parkour and it kind of helps the gameplay, you can’t just scale a building anytime you want and vanish from a chase you have to really strategize on the fly how you will get up a building quickly enough for escape

Hey Arav, nice to see you here. I believe there are some mods that can help smooth out the controls. It’s also playable on Xbox with backwards compatibility (which is what I played on).
