The ac1 remake should’ve been considered way before the ac black flag remake

They should remake entire Desmond Saga - AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations and AC3

I hope the AC1 Remake maintains the same combat system from the original, because that game played well. In my opinion, AC1’s combat is not outdated.

I want Ubisoft to put this one mission back in the game, after the attack on Masyaf there was an assassin traitor that was originally going to be a target but Ubisoft ran out of time to implement it, but you can see him early on the Kingdom.

Serious Rop here, I can see this going one of two ways, I'll let you guess which one I think is more likely... 1. Ubisoft dives deep into what made people fall in love with the original games in the first place, and they create a faithful remake, with all the parkour depth we've been asking for for the last 10+ years and the influence of the original games bleeds back into their newer entries, restoring assassin's creed to it's former greatness. 2. They completely "modernize" it with their modern gameplay mechanics and destroy the purest image of what Assassin's Creed is forever, even destroying the experience that many new fans would have by discovering the first game of the series after playing a newer entry by funneling them into the remade version that lacks the gameplay pillars that the series is built upon and further distorts the image of what assassin's creed is in the first place. (It's the second one)

Tbh aspects of assassin's creed 1 hold up visually super well in my opinion, the texture of the stone in the buildings, the cloth simulation on the assassin's robes, the quality and feel of the gameplay animations, there are aspects to the older games that i think are more impressive than today

The AC1 remake has so much potential. Not only graphically, but they can do add in new more varied quests. Add in new towns between the big cities. Increase crowd density, add new weapons(the crosbow from the trailer), make actual cinematics for the talking, add crows events and so much more. But most importantly they have to keep the main pillars of the game the same. Don't change everything completely. And that's where I start losing faith in Ubisoft.

Assassins Creed: The Secret Crusade would be a dream game. I assume they'll just remake AC1, however a remake exploring all of Altair's life would be perfect.

Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed Bloodlines, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Assassin's Creed China, They are all the best Assassin's Creed Game's I would give each one a 10 out of 10 to my opinion.

A clever thing they can do with Remaking the first game and even Black Flag is by also making it a sequel. This is possible by having the modern day set in the modern year. Not 2012 and 2014 respectively. But a new modern day story with characters reliving the memories of Altair and Edward in a modern Animus which would explain the different controls and simulation details as well. For Black Flag its easy. Have Noa Kim, a character from the webtoon comic and descendant of the Kenways, experience Edward's pirate life after having seen his life post-pirate.

Ac 1 is so good that I am never getting rid of my PS3. I love the original. The beauty of it is in its simplicity, especially after playing through it and going back to replay the memories, as the game is much better when I don't have to synchronize the map, lol. I can't see a way they do a remake without messing it up, tbh.

I've been reading the first AC games book called the secret crusade. In the book it goes into a lot more detail of Altairs upbringing into the Creed. I think something that'd be fun for a remake of AC1(mind you it's just my opinion) is to have missions similar to that of the Christina missions in AC brotherhood where you could play in flashbacks of Altairs life. Missions that would showcase how Altair lost his biological father Umar, how he and Abbas became enemies, how Altairs upbringing in the brotherhood looked like etc. It would help flesh out his character more for people that aren't familiar with Altairs past and would add a little bit of more mission variety for a remake.

The modern day has scope to plant seeds of later lore, like hinting at Lucy communicating with Rebecca or retroactively working in Lucy being a Abstergo approved Assassin spy. Perhaps a reference to the other ancestors in Desmond’s genetic memory, like Ezio, Connor, Haytham and Edward. Nolan North has to voice Desmond though.

I’ve never been able to play ac1 until very VERY recently. I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed my entire life but only two days ago beat ac1. I absolutely loved it and I’m excited to replay ac2 from that perspective. I am a bit optimistic for a remake, but that might be because my only experience with remade games is TLoU part 1.

Ambience and feel of AC 1 is unmatched. It really makes us feel like we are in the animus and exploring the history through Altair. Also, I don't think any other AC game did that Assassinate and Run thing. The chase after assassinating a target never gets old.

I don't want classic ACs remakes with the current Parkour and combat system I can't imagine Altair in Acre or Ezio in Venice without the puppet system and high and low profile.

AC 1 is one of those games which you can only enjoy once you come to term with what it is. It's less of a game and more of a Assasssin/Animus simulator. The ambience and feel of the game is truly unmatched. It makes you feel like an Assassin. I couldn't sit through the game on my first play through. But i knew what i was getting into on my second. I think Far Cry 2 was one of those experiences for me.

I just can't wait for ac1 remake i remember when i played it on my trash pc with low graphics it was great memories and i hope Altair can swim, and more tools, with better combat it was very suprising game in 2007 graphics for me they still hold up and the templars have good designs.

I’ve beaten this game 3 times by now, and there are certain things I would really like. Like seamless transition between the main open area and all the towns, parkour being a little bit faster (not a whole lot, but even then the og parkour feels really good to get a handle on), controls were a bit stiff at times, I honestly hope they have the voice acting for Altair from revelations (it had a nice flair to it, but I still liked the performance in the og) . I also think a little unlockable being the cut crossbow weapon would be pretty silly and fun

I would say we definitely need a AC 1 remake, it’s essential. With that game literally almost everything could be improved and like mirage I bet the graphics would be beautiful and vibrant. They could even add more to the original redemption arc and look more into his character and maybe add more with a few things here and there like by adding the scenes/storylines from other games like revelations or Altair’s chronicles. Even if they didn’t make a remake I’d still love it if they made a game about his life before the hunt of the 9 like Altair’s chronicles which is only available on DS. But also reading about Adha (spoiler) his past lover known as the chalice I feel they never really went into her character or why she was killed despite being a desired target for being “the chalice.” I really want to ac 1 remake or another ac game on his life story.

Now this is so exciting as from what I heard coz every thing will have return to its roots and we will have back that amaizing style of ac but the question i am asking is is the mission structure still reptitive

I think it's pretty much given that AC1R will come before Black Flag Remake, Singapore will be doing it for next 10 years if Skull and Bones is any indication. Logically I'd pick either Bordeaux or Sofia for AC remake but Bordeaux want to make new title, and Sofia is tied with Nebula, so perhaps a "new AC studio" will be developing it, perhaps Romania? They helped with AC before.

I really hope one day Deus Ex Goty also gets a remake by a responsible developer 😌

Mirage is probably a foundation on which AC1 remake will be worked on. For a Black Flag remake they'll reuse many assets from Skull and Bones

As someone that's late into the franchise (started with Odyssey 😂) n played nearly all ac games, this remake is very much needed. Not enough to just revisit Altair memories in revelations

They could add a moving crouch. Improve the way death from above works, but if I'm being honest, I like it better in ac1 than any other ac game. Something about just hitting a button from a high position and the character auto jumping and striking just takes all the fun out of death from above. You should have a free jump button. You should be able to aim a jump and hit the assassinate button when in killing proximity. It works like a charm in tenchu games, going all the way back to the ps1. No reason it should be any different here. The only other thing they could really do to it (besides making the cities 1/1 scale) is make the black box missions in the game black boxier. Also, they need to make the game to where you can accomplish it without causing disturbances on the street level, outside of assassinations. You can almost do it in the original. Something else that I can't believe I almost forgot is the pre assassination work. It's so quick and inoffensive in ac1 I kinda forgot how repetitive and kinda bad it was. They don't need to make it like the other games, where it's less quick and more offensive. They just need to make it much less repetitive. If they want to increase playtime, they should add more black box missions. That's the heart and soul of any stealth game, and that is what ac1 is, unlike most of the games in the series, from what I can tell. I just hope they don't over complicate the open combat. AC1 has solid combat ( my personal favorite in the series) as long as you arent just sitting around on the counter button waiting for sttikes to come in. Ghost of tsushima perfected that style of combat. I seriously doubt that modern ubisoft has the ability to improve on either. Open combat in a stealth game is a soft fail state, anyway.

Black flag holds up so well. If they just added some patches to smooth it out they wouldn't even need a remake. I'd MUCH rather have AC1-Revelations remade first.

Personally I think this is redundant with Mirage out -- I think the game was considered a spiritual remake of AC1. Would love to see a remake of the Ezio games. Italy had great parkour potential just like France in Unity.

Really hoping we get an AC 1 remake cause I feel it needs it way more than any other game of the series. Plus Altair is probably my favorite character in the series. Just hoping they can do the original game and OG black flag justice with these remakes.

It's obvious that the PS4 and PS5 AC don't needs remake yet but for the PS3 AC, the Kenway could still wait few years for a remake as they are more modern than the AC1 to Revelations AC but for the first 4 AC games, they could easily expend the games in 1 and Revelations with new missions (basically, Revelations could be 50% Ezio and 50% Altair with missions in the 4th crusade at Constantinople and the 10 years against Gengis)

I hope they add the crossbow because it is historically accurate, but then again the knife on his back is too iconic, my earliest memory is my dad playing it the knife always stood out, hopefully it doesn't get whacky, mirage was the perfect "blast from the past" game

I wish I could own the original AC3 on Steam, it's the only one missing in my collection. I hate when publishers do remasters and delist the original one.

Ubisoft needs to have another stab (get it?) at the french revolution setting for a brand new title. As a setting, the french revolution is so compelling with so much potential, that was completely squandered with their previous attempt, at least with its plot and characters For an Assassin's Creed 1 Remake, thsy should include narrative content from the Bloodlines psp game, as well as elements from the Secret Crusades novel into the game's narrative.

I hope they add the RPG elements of the current games. Or at the very least add the mention of the current characters in accordance of the games history. No matter what they do, I'll be playing it.

the best way to add more story to the game while staying faithful to the original would be to just add AC: Bloodlines story in the end or as a DLC

i hope, i HOPE, they keep Altair's original voice. i love that man and his original voice. if they change it that will severely impact my impression and his likeability. i love the tone and atmosphere of AC1. i have my doubts any studio can remake the game for a more modern look and feel without losing that same tone and atmosphere, but i will continue hoping they do it justice.

Imagine if this is just an port update with "Remaster" on top of it!

O and Ubisuft please i beg of you add those 4 things in AC black flag Remake 1 the option to chose what ship we want to use not only the Jackdow 2 please add the option to use 1 or 2 sorwds/hidden blades by choice and 3 this one isn't really a must but woud be nice to have the option to keep wearing the hood or take it off while using the ship and the 4 we hed many eliminations that schoud have cut theyr arms legs heads etc add that on top and it will be gorgeous

AC1 remake makes sense. Give Altair a realistic accent like the flashback scenes of Revelations. Make him swim. Give us more activities to do. Fix the combat and stealth.

My two favorite Assassin’s Creed games are the first two games in the series especially the first game and this is why when Assassin’s Creed first came out it was fresh and new no devs came out with a game like this before sure they had great stealth games like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell but this game was different you had a hooded assassin who belong to a secret society of Assassins bonded by a creed who stealth kills targets with a hidden blade how cool was that nobody came up with that concept until then that was what made this game original and special and magical now there is so many games in the series that it lost it magic from the first game because now it just new assassins characters ,new locations,new timelines and new storylines the combat has been changed and updated but it is not the same the combat doesn’t have the same magic like the combat in the first game is it only because the concept was new and fresh and original back then probably but this still is my all time favorite stealth franchise of all time and l have played every entry in the franchise so far and will continue to do with the exception of Bloodlines which l didn’t play because l didn’t have a Sony PSP handheld at the time l did however played Assassin’s Creed Liberation which l played because l bought a Sony PlayStation Vita handheld and one of the main reasons l bought a Vita was so l could play Assassin’s Creed Liberation

Mostly the story and was there when my mother died after that played assassin creed revelations and the setting and ezio ofc helped me cope with my situation in all honesty I started with assassin creed 2 in 2016 after a friend recommended it stuck with it since its one of my favourite games of all time

I'm not sure if Ubisoft would ever remake the first Assassin's creed since Mirage is said to be the"returning to the roots" kind of game and thats tell us that they had already gave us something which is similar to AC1 in many aspects however if Ubisoft decide to remake AC1 then they better update the movements mechanics AI behaviour combat system and more why not add a DLC as well as to what happened after the death of Al Mualim.

It needs a be a proper remake. That means completely scrap and redo the game structure. Going to a city, doing a few generic missions, then an assassination, and then repeating that 3 times will not fly

An AC1 remake would 100% be my first time playing it. I’ve played every game from AC2 in 09 when I was 6 to mirage (except I skipped syndicate, origins, odyssey, and Valhalla). I only skipped syndicate cuz mirage was coming out by the time I beat unity (I was late to these games cuz I grew up less fortunate and didn’t have the latest anything). And I skipped origins, odyssey, and Valhalla cuz A) the trailers turned me off for each of em cuz I was immediately able to tell it wasn’t “ASSASSINS creed” anymore, it was just “creed”, and B) I watched videos & my brothers played em and that confirmed that, they are indeed not at all “ASSASSINS creed” anymore😭

i feel, make the parkour better and more stuff to parkour on, and make more assassination animations. also make the story a few hours longer to pat out the game time. and generally enhance everything the original ac 1 had to offer.

I think that Ubisoft should make an entirely different game with Altair there is so many stories of Altair that is in books and spin off games that I think those stories should be told in a mainline AC game

im actually making an ac1 soft remake in mirage if youd like to showcase my mod collection it reskins the altair robes another modder added the altair skin we have red and white hidden ones npcs and a red and white nur oulfit and roshan and reyhan have been remade to look like almualims robes its a pretty impresive visual overhaul

I think AC1 still looks really good. Especially at 4K 60+. I only consider it a good candidate since Playstation can’t run it on modern hardware for the last 2 gens. But even with modern visuals, is there enough there for people, as it’s very different compared to every other AC, or do people think Ubisoft will do a ‘reimagining’. Black Flag would have been fine with a remaster (at 900 on XBox and even 1080p on PS it looks a bit dated and blurry on console and is stuck at 30 fps to boot). But, it’s also one of the only great pirate games we have and for that I’ll def take a modern remake and think it’s a great choice.

Would love a remake of all 5. Then package it as The Desmond Collection the race through time, or make them into 1 big game instead of swapping between like ezio collection. But I do agree I don’t think present day Ubisoft would be capable of remaking them with the magic while also fixing the issues without ruining it. Considering they can’t make new titles good I highly doubt they could remake an older game without completely fucking it up

I know some people think we should get a remake of the Ezio trilogy. In my opinion as many have said before it has aged like fine wine. The only benefit I really see for the Ezio trilogy especially assassin’s creed 2 is for the graphics to look more vibrant/better and not so cloudy as it seems.

I think that what we need to very clearly distinguish between a remake and a remaster/port. I highly doubt that AC1 or any previous AC games are going to be REMADE, like the Dead Space remake. Absolutely I think we are going to get a remaster basically just making the games available on the current-gen consoles.

The biggest weakness of an AC1 remake is that it won't be nearly as accessible to those with low end pcs. My laptop is far from a gaming laptop and it can run the original AC1 like a dream once the settings are adjusted (Sad to say not every AC game does, though) . But with the focus on modern day games being developed towards gamers with incredibly powerful machines while neglecting those that don't have that kind of hardware, it's going to be very alienating for those who can't get their hands on the hardware to run the remake. And god knows a lot of AC games don't have the best optimization on PC. Lookin' at you AC3

I don't think they will remake AC1, because they just released Mirage, which was supposed to recreate the feel of the first game anyway (Similar setting, "similar" gameplay, etc), being a 15th anniversary game. Also, they just released Skull & Bones, which was originally based on the gameplay of Black Flag, so maybe they wouldn't dive into another pirate game so fast. The only ones that make sense are the 3 Ezio games. They said "remakes" (plural), so that would be my guess. However, this is Ubisoft we're talking about, so who the f*ck knows. They might come up with some terrible ideas, like always... I would love an AC1 remake, though. It has the best story and dialogues imo and only needs some fresh gameplay mechanics & a visual touch-up.

Fun fact: AC1 is the only 360/PS3 era game without a remaster. Ezio Trilogy, AC3, AC4, and Rogue all got an XBOne/PS4 port with higher framerates and resolutions.

I mean, I would love to have all AC Remakes, especially AC 1, but as you said, I'm skeptical because Jean-Luc Sala said no to an Assassin's Creed 1 Remake after so many leaks and rumors and after this 15th-anniversary Assassin's Creed trailer. But what confuses me is why did Jean-Luc Sala say no to IGN when the CEO did speak about multiple Remakes? It just doesn't make sense. I mean, what rank is Jean-Luc Sala before the CEO? That's why I'm skeptical.

Remake the Desmond Saga and retcon his death. They could easily do it like this (desmonds soul is copied into the animus) his real body is still alive but his friends thought he was dead since his heartbeat was so slow so his copy become The Reader and his main body is captured by Abstergo to which t hey do experiments on him and torture him for info regarding the apple and the Isu He breaks out due to a power outage giving him a chance to escape (hes been in a blacklist site since AC3 he gets out realizes he is a walking target so going back to his loved ones and friends is a bad idea, he then becomes a Master Assassin in the modern world only know by one name The Shadow then in a future AC game we can follow him and what he has been doing thus creating a Modern AC game that people have been asking for, and keeping the Reader as canon just that its a copy of Desmond not Desmond himself Idk I think killing off desmond was a horrible decision as a kid I really, and I mean really resonated with and loved Desmond as character, Layla imo is boring asf, they try to hard to make her seem badass instead of just making her badass by her actions not words. my love for AC started dying after AC3 bc they killed off a character I grew up with and saw progressing. at least kill him off AFTER he becomes a Master Assassin not before.....idk AC has been massively disappointing me with the latest games, its like they forgot what AC was and meant. they lost there identity and soul, I just hope the remakes are done right and not done cringy. I want actual STEALTH, not teleporting assassinations like Mirage did I wanta true stealth game, not a sci-fi stealth game with super powers.
