Can I just say how much I appreciate you making actual informative content on the game instead of just shitting on it? Most of my usual go-to channels have put out nothing but hate toward the game, and it's getting more than a little grating. Like damn, man, if you don't like it, don't play it. In going for Zhu Yuan for sure! Everything about her is my vibe from gameplay to design cause holy moly shes really beautiful. Also as a fighting game lover and fgc person since i was little her high execution is something i love too.

I love nier and Ellen kinda gives me nier vibes with how she plays. She's also a cute shark maid so I pull.

I prefer longer videos because your knowledge of games with elements reminiscent of fighting games, and having these ways to change the gameplay that's just shown to you is something I like. Can't wait to hop on and learn these characters gameplay potential. Unfortunately, others aren't providing this depth of insight, but I'm glad to have someone to watch for detailed gameplay info.

I gonna need that video on W-engines I hope people dont sleep on them. HSR and Genshin you can get away with not having sig weapons as for HI3rd you can always craft and use alts options.

Genuinely don't think you can go wrong with either character, but I'm going for Zhu Yuan because she just looks so fluid to play. I think fast paced characters are a lot more valuable in this game than the slower ones so she seems like she'll probably stay meta for a while just for that reason. Also great video, nice to see someone cover the game with FGC experience because that brings a welcome perspective to analysis for the game that most other YTers covering ZZZ won't have.

Absolutely excited for this as I LIKE how hard HSR is. Genshin has a super low skill floor and WuWa has a super high skill ceiling, but this seems to be a combination of the two and if we have the difficulty of HSR with DEEP character investment, and managing patch buffs, I'm going to have a blast

As a long time Souls player I really appreciate your take on things and how in depth you go with how you can play around with the mechanics in this game. While the game itself isn't a challenge necessarily, it's the fact that I can no challenge myself to learn these mechanics or little tricks that will make playing characters more fun/engaging. I really look forward to the future of this game and how I can mess around with different playstyles and gimmicks. This was actually super informative!! I found it super helpful to hear an in-depth explanation between both characters’ kits. I pulled for Ellen already bc I really like her and I also just love Von Lycaon, and got SUPER lucky by pulling him off of standard! No rerolls needed 🎉 I’m going to wait to see on who the next 5* may be for 1.1 BUT I honestly really dig Zhu Yuan’s design and kit. I might pull for her if there isn’t anyone who interests me coming up next!

I'm honestly more interested in some of the main roster units more than the limited ones so far, BUT...gotta give the algorithm a nudge. Good stuff man and keep it up. Also, just an idea, but I think a podcast between u and smack would be a great idea. You both have an extensive FG background and relish in competitive and complex gameplay so I feel like a conversion between yall would be interesting for a lot of people outside of that space that are from the gacha space especially since ur familiar with most combat focused gachas outhere.

Ellen is the whole reason I'm excited for this game. I'm getting her. Zhu Yuan would be a nice pickup. I like characters with a kit that requires engagement.

It keeps throwing me off that Electro elemental damage is bright blue colored in this game. Cuz then Ice is a more pale blue. You’d think they would’ve made Electro a yellow color or something.

Hey @Iyo XS, I usually don't play mechanically "difficult" characters but I really like Ellen so I've decided to try and master her combo's for this game like you explained. My question is, will you make a video explaining in detail how to do the optimal inputs for Ellen (and other characters) once the game releases?

For anyone that says combat looks mid or whatnot Trust me The visuals is very deceiving I was also skeptical about the combat But when i got to actually do it im cbt3 You can REALLY feel the movement of the characters Zhu yuan for example is very "jumpy" i would say idk how to describe it cuz she feels very tactile in terms of controls And her pace is at the VERY fast spd Ellen while looks flashy feels a bit like a great sword user but 50% faster cuz her animation has a lot of charge stages And tbh my favorite is ben Why ben? He is for me at least the most technically interesting and unique out of all the others i've tried Ben has a LOT of kinda secret moves which you unlcok after doing the active skill for the first time Some of them are rocket jet pillar punch My favorite that you can do after doing his active skill once and using half the energy bar Cool af Also yes he moves VERY slow But his attacks is not You can further enhance this game combat speed by constantly swapping characters and basically idk... How to call it but " animation buffer"? A bit different from canceling animation since some characters has attacks that carries over even after you switch and ben's dodge attack can help mitigate some enemy action by ramming himself to the enemy after you switch out at his 4-5 combo string And other cool hidden combo stuff that you'd find in fighting games

I love Ellen gameplay but Zhu Yuan mechanics gives me Hyperreal (PGR) vibes: ordinary bullet, strong bullet stack, some AoE damage, auto dodge, hopping all around the field, and nuke. Hyperreal is my favourite man I can't decide yet

Great video. Precisely because of elemental immunity and what not, i'm pulling any and every character I can lol. Can you do a video on team synergy? Ex: different lineup orders, 2 vs 3 characters. Sometimes you can get 4-5 chain attacks just with an dps, support and bangboo. A lot of depth in the combat of this game it's great imo.

@IyoXS I've been trusting your takes in HSR so I'm going to trust you here - I'd love to know what you think about Disorder. Is it stronger than, say, a mono-Ice team (Ellen/Lyc/Sup)? If I was going to build a Disorder team right now, I'd go Ellen/Lyc/Rina so I still have one of the strongest elements (ice), plus fast application of second element (shock) to proc Disorder plus have res pen - what's your take?

honestly I'm saving for this first patch, I like both characters but I don't love them, there isn't that need like with Seele and Jing Yuan that I had. Honestly, biker chick with the sword and shield and Dark Mode Ayaka from the release trailer are who I'm saving for. Edit: Yo also great work on these ZZZ videos, I really appreciate you tying this to fighting game stuff just because thats a good personal frame of reference for me. I'd love to see you breakdown some unique mechanics of character kits like you did with Nicole for one of the closed betas.

Design-wise, Zhu Yuan reminds me of a cross between KOF's Leona and Kiyone/Space Police from Tenchi Muyo, and that's all I need to pull

Honestly, I went for Ellen because I really like playing with Corin (her weapon gosh I just LOVE IT) and since I didn't get Rina (another maid) as the first standard 5* , I can only count on Piper and Ellen to be paired with Corin for now. BUT I DO NOT REGRET. I've build up Soukaku as well, so I've got already a right team for Physical (Corin DPS, Piper, Ellen/Lucy), Ice (Ellen DPS, Soukaku, Corin) and Fire (Soldier 11 DPS, Lucy, Ben). I don't think I'll build an electro or an ether team yet, I've got too much already to properly build. Once I'm finished with those, I'll try other comps.

I love Ellen SO much. Zhu Yuan is definitely a possibility but I love Soukaku so much (as a demon lover) so Soukaku and Ellen synergy is just TOO good. Excited for a 5 star demon (boy or girl) at some point!

Luckily, I got Ellen early so I can save more polychrome for Zhu Yuan. Hopefuly I am not losing 50/50 in Zhu Yuan banner.

New viewer, been using Billy, very good, failed on Ellen 50/50 and got Neko when reached level 30, sad. Started an 2nd account to try my luck again for Ellen, if 2nd account fails again. Then i will main my first account and save pulls for Zhu Yuan, she looks an upgraded version of Grace and Billy, looking quite fun and looking forward the game could bring more content and story to it.

I think I'mma pull for Joe. I want Zhu, but I already have teammates built that'll work best with Joe. Though I really do need a character with the same element type thing as Nicole.

ZhuYuen's passive, if its the same as the trial version we get in the story, is activated by having an ether character or a support character. It doesnt say faction. So you can put her on a team with day Rina or Soukaku for instance and you dont need to have Nicole. But nicole is probably the better choice because of nicoles passive.

I mean if Zhu yuan still has the same faction bonus like the trial with faction of support I feel like she may have a chance as a second dps roll where u just only go to her to use special unload the bullets and then don’t use until that moment again I mean Yh the only way of getting bullet would be through follow up assists, ultimate and special but could work who knows I’m not some team master mind just thinking of ideas for future lol either way I was going for her before I even downloaded the game

Zhu Yuan's playstyle fits me to a T, I love her animations/moveset... however it's hard for me to pass up on an edgy maid. My decision will solely hinge on whether or not I win the 50/50s, and how important the weapons will be for the endgame.

Only reason I can't get myself to pull for Ellen is because of Soukaku. I understand that we'll be getting copies of everyone, but knowing, off-rip, that Soukaku is guaranteed later on feels like an L to me XD Also the guy on the banner is someone I actually DO NOT want. So Ellen is someone I gotta wait for😢 THAT SAID!! Zhu Yuan and Nicole, from my understanding, are gonna be on the same banner and I'm finna break my tape BANK for them XD

I don't even have to reroll. I got Ellen, her weapon, her pet in 30 pulls total. I thought the first ten pull were designed to always guarantee the S drops, but I was wrong. I also have Grace and Nekomiya from regular banner and I'm thinking about selling my account at this point lol

Tbh, I started playing today, almost 10 hours in and I'm almost going to chapter 2(I've been doing the side content), and this game is not looking that difficult to begin with, like I'm playing this in the hardest difficulty and my health bar never went below 50%. Does this game get's more challenging? It's a genuine question. Good video btw

TLDR Hold shift + hold left click then spam left click Or hold shift + hold left click E left click (wait for her to kick her pole thingy and wait for the thing to stop spinning) then E left click again, rinse and repeat This game is very causal, there’s not much ‘ceiling’ to combo, most of the time you can literally close your eyes spam left click and space bar and things will die regardless
