Is the UK a great place to live? I was born in the UK and have always called it home however in 2022 I moved to Dubai and left the UK behind. Why did I do this? For me taxes were becoming a problem and I felt like I was getting nothing back in return.

Really rate you for the last point about the LGBQT stuff which is being drilled into kids far too young - it’s very concerning. I actually work in tax and got a job in Dubai and move out in November!

If you set up a business in the UAE that provides services to UK businesses. Do you still have to register and charge UK VAT?

It depends on the service but they can be dealt with under the domestic reverse charge meaning you as the business saves it

tax is very annoying but being away from family friends just isn't worth it tbh especially with aging grandparents.
