Your video is by far the best explanation on how to do this, with the best filming and not blocking the view of what you are doing. I have watched numerous videos and happy to say I FINALLY found one that I could actually see what the person was doing every step of the way with great detail. Fantastic job. I have bookmarked this for future reference and it will be my go to peep tying video. Thanks greatly for your hard work in putting this together.

🔴🌎🔵🐸 I had this method done to my bow and was going to attempt to do it to my new bow from just looking at how it was done. It is absolutely the most secure and beautiful way to do it, though I wouldn't have done it correctly. I am so glad I had subscribed to you and you just popped up this video before my peep arrived. So thankful for you sharing your secret master craft and offer a great detailed description.👍

Your video could not be better timed for me. I bought a bow a few weeks back and the shop that sold it to me did an adjustment that seemed very laxed to me. After watching your videos on tuning and signs that a bow is not properly adjusted, I now realise that my bow adjustment is all out of whack. I am redoing all the adjustments myself. I was just wondering about how to reinstall my peep sight and voilà! You just made a beautiful video about it. Your videos are by far the best ressource I have found. Keep them coming. Cheers!

Thanks for the awesome video, Brother! I had a high shoulder shot on a nice bull last season that I never recovered. I was heart broken and blamed on rushed shot and blurry pins. I've had vision changes over the years causing pins to blur out. I don't hunt with Rx glasses, so was imperative I tie in a verifier to remain ethical. I've been buying bow tools over the years and teaching my self bow tech 'skills'. I don't like to be reliant on other people to work on my firearms or bows. That's just me, I like to be self-sufficient and be able work on my own stuff. Also, it's hard to find a technician when you're in the field, if you know what I mean. Your video was the 4th of 4 that I watched about serving a peep. I used your methods because it was concise, you're professional, it was well shot, and clean. I especially like the way you use one string to serve peep from top-to-bottom, alternating sides, with hunting applications in mind. My serving remains super tight and clean, the peep stayed straight, and "super secure", as you said. My pins are cleared up and I'm back on target! Thanks a lot, Man! Carry On!

nice way of doing it, i found an older video(from the guy that does the "infinity loop" video and used his method to tie in my peep(since that is the way i learned it first), it is similar to yours but taken to the "next level up": The entire peep section is served so you do not see any bowstring from the beginning of the serving to the end of the serving. will try it your way if i have to some string work. love your video's keep it up.

Great video. Looks like a great way to tie in your peep but did you misstate about the way you should wrap with the rotation of the string? You clearly wrapped against the rotation of the string. Do appreciate the video.
@InsideOutPrecision
@InsideOutPrecision 2 жыл бұрын
So I know it look like that, but I actually didn’t. Each end of the string twists clockwise. Had I started below the peep and wrapped that way, it would have been against the twist. But because I started above, I’m actually wrapping with the rotation of the string. For example, if I held the top loop of the string that attaches to the cam and added twists from that end, I would be turning the string clockwise, which is the direction I wrapped the peep tie

I'm very confused as to the direction you wrap the serving around the string. In the introduction you mention wrapping with the rotation of the string, to me that means the two spirals turn around in the same direction. And that would make sense because that way if you add twist to your string, the wrapping becomes tighter, not looser. Now in your example, no matter which way i look at it I can't seem to help reaching the conclusing that the spiral of the string and the spiral of the wrapping go in opposite directions. If I look at 3:26 then the string clearly twistscounter clockwise going to the top of the screen. That while you wrap the serving clockwise going up to the top of the screen. Not to say the way this peep is tied wouldn't hold, or maybe I'm missing something but the way this wrapping is done looks backwards to me.
@chrisjanes3822
@chrisjanes3822 7 ай бұрын
He was wrapping from the top down for the sake of the camera. If you imagine the end result, if it was untied now from the top it would be turning in the correct direction. Had he started at the bottom it would have wrapped the other way .

I noticed that too. The wrapping is "backwards" according to the verbal instructions. Funny, I was listening to the video as I tied in a peep last night and followed the instructions. It wasn't until I got up to the peep that I noticed. I finished it out the same way. We'll see how it works. Now that I think about it, there may not have been a good way to set up camera and such to film it wrapping the same way as the string twists so he did it this way just to demonstrate the wrapping.

Question. I’m having issues peep twist on my Mathews V3X 29”. Since I’ve bought it on it’s release I’ve had nothing but issues with it. I’ve had my local pro shop retie it several different times along with tieing it in several different times myself. I’ve even tried tieing it in several different ways. I recently went to a different pro shop and all he wanted to do was mess with my d-loop so when I draw it would straighten it up. Did not work so went to my other pro shop yesterday and just had a new peep installed. I get home and after the first shot it’s twisted. What gives. I’m tired of having to mess with my peep every time I want to shoot. Hopefully you may have some advice. Maybe I need to put a string in my string to mark center and just pull the peep all together to straighten everything back up. What do you think.

Hey Kellen, just came back to re-watch your vid for a refresher on tying in a peep, and want to point out something i missed the first time. I suppose one might take this as a mild "criticism" but please don't, i'm not trying to be critical but rather just pointing out what appears to be a case of mis-speaking when you addressed the rotation of the bow string and which way it dictates your serving. Upon getting your bow in the vise, you said that looking down the string from the top limb that it "twists to the right" and you made a clockwise motion with your hand/wrist. That's exactly what most ppl think when we say or hear "to the right", ie. clockwise. But the camera close up of the string shows...looking down it from the top...that the 2 strands are spiraling counter clockwise. "left hand thread" in mechanic parlance. You wrapped the serving clockwise, ie. opposite direction of the bow strand twist. Which is fine, i'm just wanting to be clear on the proper way to wrap the serving. On other hand, maybe i'm misunderstanding something. If you see this and have a comment, either in agreement with my observation or a correction, that would be cool and appreciated. For my peace of mind and information. Thanks, love your channel.
@InsideOutPrecision
@InsideOutPrecision Жыл бұрын
So if you are standing at the top of the bow looking down the string, this string twists up clockwise. I’ve come to realize it doesn’t matter which way you wrap for a peep tie how ever. There isn’t enough serving to influence the string rotation. I’ve purposely done it both ways to test it and haven’t seen a difference. And I certainly don’t take it as a criticism! Definitely easy to misspeak during video!

@@InsideOutPrecision Ahhhhh, ok, i think i see now where we're crossing our wires. :) I think i follow now...when i've been saying "clockwise" and "counter clockwise" i've been referring to the actual direction the 2 strands wind around each other. But you're talking about the direction of rotation needed to twist the string the way it is. Right, right, i get it now. It was a clockwise twisting motion that wound the 2 stands together as they are. But hey it's also good to know that, as you've discovered, it doesn't really matter much if at all. Thanks kindly for the reply (and very prompt too) Kellen, it's much appreciated! Keep 'em centered. :)
