I have been watching you for at least 5 years and have always enjoyed your content, especially your tank reviews. The reason I had voted optics on is that I like having max view range in all my tanks and, even with optics on, I was only able to hit 450 view range in my 263. The shell at 9:20 was an HE. Now I'm not super knowledgeable on the damage mechanics in the game, but the shell can do anywhere from 75-125% of the alpha damage right? If that is the case a 750 alpha shell can do as low as 562.5 damage, putting the 574 damage within the range of being a penetrating shot. Which I think is more likely than being a non penetrating shot.

Copper00 is my closest friend on WOT and I kid you not, this kid has crazy good RNG, he could snapshot an EBR going full speed out of render, in a FV4005 on the move.... while cliff diving, he gets away with the most ridiculous things in this game!!!

Re: consumable keys - sometimes after coming back to WoT, during Lockdown, I was using the cheaper kits, and I found to put the Repair kit on 5, so when you tracks goes, you tap 5-5 etc ;) Nowadays I go 4 = either food or fire extinguisher, 5 = Repairs, and 6 = Med, as in most of my other games I use the 6 key for Heals ;) I've also re=mapped my other keys to make more sense for me i.e R = Reload, auto-drive are E/Q (again, other games use those keys for movement and such).

I'm free to play and I always use the automatic fire extinguisher. You get so many of them for free you never have to buy them anyway, and they decrease your chances of catching on fire which cuts the costs down by a bit. One less thing to micro too, which is nice.

as a f2p player i usually use the automatic fire extinguisher to just to avoid extra damage from the fire which then also prevents any further module damage

My first ever Ace tanker in the 263 was also on this map. No where near this game results but still a 6k dmg game with almost 1600 base xp. Very enjoyable tank to play.

Love the 263 on console as the dpm is insane and the armor presents a challenge as you have to find the perfect angles and lower plate hiding areas to use it effectively

4:08 sorry to disagree. The fire belongs to the 6th key because you will always use the automatic one. The repair kit goes to 5. Dopple tap the 5 and the track is back on

I love 263. My most favourite tank. I am so sad that I discovered this beauty this late. About consumables, first I started to use in WG's order as repair kit, medkit, fire extinguisher. then, when i struggled to press 6 to use fire extinguisher, i moved it to 4, as fire extinguisher, repair kit, medkit. then wg started to give too many automatic fire extinguisher as awards, so i have too many auto extinguishers. and also the new stun mechanic has appeared, we need to use medkit instantly if arty stuns us in the middle of a close range fight. so i moved my consumables like medkit, repair kit, automatic fire extinguisher. so now i can instantly get rid of the stun by pressing 4, i can do 5 5 to repair the tracks, and passive consumables auto extinguisher and food at 6.

Object 263: TIME TO ASSERT DOMINANCE

I never carry a fire extinguisher, but for my repair kit and first aid kit, I have them both mapped to mouse buttons. My mouse has 12 buttons. It has the standard 3 mouse buttons (left, middle, and right), plus 9 other buttons. In addition to the mouse buttons mapped to my repair kit and first aid kit, I have my other mouse buttons mapped to fire my gun, engage auto-aim, disengage auto-aim, switch to all 3 ammo types, reload, prepare a double shot on my double barrel tank, and switch my reticle. I find it much easier to quickly and reliably hit all of these buttons on my mouse, so I can keep my left hand focused almost entirely on driving my tank. When I had most of these actions mapped to keys on my keyboard, I found that I was often hitting the wrong keys in the heat of battle, and was also having to sacrifice driving my tank to hit all of the keys for all these other actions. So I went on Amazon and found a mouse with a boat load of extra buttons. Now I only use my keyboard to drive my tank, to activate cruise control, to bring up the quick communication menu, and pretty much everything else is on my mouse. I no longer accidentally switch the HE when I meant to switch to gold ammo or activate my repair kit.

I'm 100% free to play, but I ALWAYS use premium fire extinguishers! I get enough of them from missions so that I get more than I actually use.

I had my repair kit on my 5 key when I started playing, but as I progressed (through the tiers and in skills) I found it very distracting for when I had to repair something that isn't my tracks. After too many repairs on yellow tracks and gun/engine/turret still busted and half usable, I decided to move my repair kit on my 6th key, so it is more difficult to operate but I'm also more focus and repair way less often the wrong module. I made that change around 5-6 years ago though..

I remember playing the obj 263 before it had the upper hull armor buff and my god, it got penned by tier 8s in that hull. This was like 7-8 yrs ago

It’s funny if the kunze’s first strike at the end was a tracking shot and a second track would be game over, but I’ll freely admit very few players including myself can make those shots under pressure. 263 played like a madman!!!

miss this tank when it was teir 10... this thing was a DPS monster that had troll armor layout not to mention it was abit of a speed demon

I smash 5>5 for track repair and have a friend who uses a 4>5 roll. I always thought it's a matter of personal taste until one time he missed the 4 key, the next stroke on the 5 key put him into the med kit interface and he was not able to get back out of that quickly... Just a random piece of personal experience

I love this tank! On the right maps this is a monster and I am awful at the game but on the right map with this tank I can do some real actual work. THIS tank on the (Can't remember the name of the map) the port one with the tunnel. Get in that dip in the tunnel far enough up so you can't get hit from the open sides, get there first and your going to have a fun game.

Started with a ram kill, ended with a ram kill.

Games like this are so fun to me. No camping, no complete gold spam, no top tier farming bottom tier.

I've grown to hold the 'regular' order of 4,5,6 of repair kit, med kit and fire extinguisher. Frankly, I think it doesn't matter. You get experienced with quickpressing any key combination anyway, so stay to what you're used to. Switching it up only leads to confusion and frustration.

I have a weird keyboard setup because I never got myself to play with WASD, rather using the arrow keys - with the keyboard way off to the left of the desk, So my shell/consumables setup is 1-6, but on the NUM keypad.

I've once farmed an entire Obj 263 in my Tortoise. Frontally. How? I shot the overmatchable part above its tracks when it moved forwards and backward while sidescraping.

Pls everyone that uses manual fire extinguisher just sign your space bar under it. This is way faster method than 4 key to save yourself before taking to much dmg and save some credits

I have my fire extinguisher on space, i can react as fast as an automatic one.

I run optics on mine too. I’m usually up front, trying to draw as many shots towards me as possible. If i can spot who’s shooting me, then all my campers behind can punish them. Wish i’d had my consumables in a different order from the beginning. Too hard to change now. I run 2 repair kits in this so i don’t get stuck when i’ve pushed a bit hard and getting double tracked.

I used to always do repair, med, consumable as I felt that was the most important order but now that I have a mouse w/ side keys I've changed it up in the past 2 years since my return to WOT thanks to needing to kill time due to Covid lol. I'll use the 4 key for my med kit so I can get my driver back, also a 4 key or my commander who is right next to it at the 1 key. I use my repair kit on my 5 key so I can get my tracks back, also a 5 key. IMO those are the two most important, at least for me, for getting out of danger quickly and regrouping. For me it's easy to jam 4-4 or 5-5 to try to get out of trouble. Therefore I'll use my 6 key for consumables, fire extinguishers, etc and since I have 600+ I use the automatic ones. IDC, I get so many of them and I rarely get set on fire (even though I do play my fair share of USSR and UK tanks lol) that I don't bother worrying about costs.

I changed my consumable layout like 5 years ago to same as copper is using. 4. is fire extinguisher or food, 5. is repair. 6. is medkit. It was bit hard to get used to at first, but I really like that layout. I just wanted to test it out once I saw some asian player play like that and I have had it ever since like that. Although I don't play wot much at all anymore. But it's just a cool little fact.

Bro so many people have mouse buttons on the side nowadays. I use ";" rebound to mouse 4 as a fire extinguisher and "P" as repair rebound to Mouse 5

* Sixth Sense then Intuition. You wouldnt take Intuition first when you are leveling up a fresh crew

I've bound my extinguisher to left bump of the scroll wheel. My fingers already in it 24/7 so it takes a fraction of a second to bump it to the side the second I'm on fire.

The HE was a great move Kunze Panzer have such low armor value that it was worth the risk. For the fire extinguisher i use the space bar, it's faster since I've played so much fps.

manual extinguisher at 4 key sounds nice BUT I rather have 4-4 for driver and 5-5 for tracks and extinguisher at mouse wheel press so I dont need look for key at keyboard - only move my finger from left button to wheel and click

in my NA games sometimes people say things about how my mother was last night.

Honestly, unless you're in a rear turret tank or the engine/fuel tanks is in the front of your tank, getting on fire is pretty rare. Even as an F2P, investing an auto fire extinguisher is still relatively economically friendly. As an avg player, playing tier 10 still costs more than investing on premium consumables. That being said, I really hate being crippled after the fire so rarely do I use any other consumables other than the Repair/Med/Extinguisher combo unless I'm in a favorable matchup.

Is the gun shield on the 263 still a weak point? when it was a tier 10 even a tier 8 could pen it from the front just by shooting the gun shield.
