Yes, Sakon Nakhon is close to the Mekong River. It is easy to cross into Laos. In Laos, the natural tourist attractions are beautiful, and I believe they are cheap too. If so, you must have a car to drive in Laos. Because the car fare is quite expensive for tourists😊

(Dave typing) I'm not sure the video was taken in 2023 (KZfaq is likely suggesting it to you some time after it was published?), I suspect the video was taken some years ago during COVID times and I acknowledge that the Thai countryfolk in the farmlands were much more conservative/fearful than the city folk, so I suspect the masks were worn to appease the locals out of respect and so I didn't cause any more attention than a bright-red and ginger Farang would normally cause! 😂
