Teachers and instructors should always encourage handshake , respect, and drumline brotherhood at end of these battles and that will flow over to spectators. The antics during performance is part of the act, but can lead to hostility. Musicians can grow , and learn from each other. Nothing wrong with fierce competition but dont let these battles turn school rivalries into fights and violence.

Nah, dropping sticks happens to the best. Red had better beats and grooves. Plus green took their drums and ran then there little snare boy was beating on the trash can telling the red snare to come challenge him on the trash can. Fuck that, shouldn't have ran. They just played their cadence and left like little bitches.

Ok... let’s get a real collegiate opinion. Stockbridge definitely won. Let’s be real.. JHS had a whole cheerleading team (Dutchtown Drumline) the entire battle. If we’re talking about raw chops... Stockbridge is playing more beats and it’s on paper. All that hopping around and chanting is cool, but that don’t win battles. Jonesboro definitely sounds good, but chops win for me buddy. Same thing happened at Dutchtown when SHS battled them.. them boys had they whole crowd to their advantage, but couldn’t out chop Stockbridge. Are we going to talk about how my boy Matt tried to chop one on one, straight rudiments and nobody was with it? Oh ok...and for whoever said “Newton has a trophy bro”... lmao as you can see... nobody was trying to battle them boys... niggas with real percussive knowledge knew that 3rd place trophy was wig and they wasn’t ready for JHS nor SHS. They definitely still a good line. Y’all cheerleader dudes don’t really be knowing what’s going on. SCSU 2016-2017 (snare) BCU 2017-2019 (snare)
