Kamiband of the West in da house!!! Kagerou is definitely showcasing the more mature look and sound of Babymetal. They were asked once if they can still be "kawaii" now that they were older, and they said that they can show a more mature side of "kawaii", which I think is their way of saying they can be more sassy and badass. In Headbanger, you saw the young babymetal side to side headbang, but in Kagerou you have the growup, mature, badass ponytail whip, fullbody headbang.... So friggin awesome.🤘🦊🤘

Anthony Barone is a FUCKING BEAST on the drums.

⚡ 💕 / 🌡 🔥 Solos at the start of the song were from The "Kamis from the West", all Americans. They supported BABYMETAL on the 2019 US and European tours, and for one of the 'LEGEND - METAL GALAXY' shows in Japan in late January 2020. They are Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio on guitars, Clint Tustin on bass and Anthony Barone on drums. All of the Kami Band members we've had over the years have been great, but I hope we keep Barone forever. To be clear, I'm also a big fan of Hideki Aoyama, the "Kamis From the East" drummer. Besides the brief footage from Su's original solo version (back when the song was unofficially known as 'Tattoo'), I saw both Riho Sayashi and Momoko Okazaki as supporting dancers. I've loved this one since they first started playing it on the 2018 US tour. IMO, the best full on rocker they've given Su since 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!'

On the 2018 tour Su-metal was performing this song as a solo. The title was not known, but someone spotted a set list where it was being called 'Tattoo'. When the album was released in october 2019 and they played the Forum in LA we found out the song's official title is 'Kagerou' - and Moametal and the chosen Avenger were no on stage with Su and some brand new choreo. This was the Kami Band of the West who did the 2019 US and 2020 UK and Europe tours. They are Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio (guitars), Cliny Tustin (bass) and Anthony Barone (drums). I suspect you haven't seen 'From Dusk Till Dawn' yet - they had only ever played it live once and there was no pro-shot video from that one time ... then they played it live at two of the 10 Budokan shows early in 2021 ... and we do finally have the pro-shot video we were all wanting. Look on the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel for that one - you may have to check the links in the description of the 'Future Plans' video on that channel.

The band in the girls' back is West (American) Kamis : Chris Kelly (G), C.J. Masciantonio (G), Clint Tustin (B) and Anthony Barone (D). They are great as well as East. The audio source is from Day-2 on in Makuhari, Japan. Yes, these American Kamis came all the way to Japan to perform in January 2020. Su is singing about jealousy against someone using a metaphor of heat haze, "Kagerou". The hash emotion is shimmering from her inner blaze, and it seems to me that her emotion will not erupt but turn into magma. It's scary😱 . This is the song featuring BM's heavy and seductive side. The girls have grown up into ladies now without doubt.

Dude, welcome back to BABYMETAL! As others have said, this is their more grown-up, seductive side of "kawaii" metal. So many people have seen Su and Moa grow up that they feel really weird saying that they are attractive young women now. They have 100% gone from cute kids to gorgeous women, it's just how it is, they couldn't stay children forever. That said, the people who have been ardent defenders of them against the creepy old guys are absolutely in the right, especially when they were kids. I only became a fan at the beginning of the pandemic, but from what I've read and heard, there were some vile old men out there over the past decade and they need to be in prison.
