Man! I really enjoyed that a whole lot. You had fun, Julia! I’m sure you’d like to interview or work with her or similar-style singer, just to explore the uniqueness and share knowledge. That chromatic thing she did at 10:05 -10:07 was beautiful and just made me think of Jazz (in terms of colouring outside the key). I’m blown away by her vocal control and mastery within her range and I am interested in seeing behind the scenes footage of the studio sessions amd rehearsals. Has there been an in-depth documentary series on Indian vocals? I would imagine so. It’s such a massive and diverse country that it would be a real production to cover the major genres of music and language variations.

Indian singers uses a lot of their hand movements according to the variations of songs. It's how singing is taught. You can judge from the hand movements the rythms, nuances of the songs.
