@@aSoldierOfJesus that's cause you dont have brains enough to hide during daytime and dont have a silencer, night sights and night vision, If you have to fire more than 100 rds of 223, 200 rds of subsonic 22lr, or 20 rds of 9mm, the first year of shtf, you're doing so much wrong that you'll never make it. In a year, 99% will be dead, ,and the game long gone, so WHAT will you shoot at, hmm? Can't practice, cause ammo will be too precisious. Practice NOW, so you dont lose your first fight (nor your 10th) cant make noise, show a light at night, nor be out in daylight, once shtf.

This is the conclusion I finally came to. Most people aren’t going to have what it takes to survive. And if they do, they’ll lose themselves. I’ll stay home and board the windows up, but realistically I’ll just be a epic loot drop for some brutal mf’er.

There is no such thing as TOO MUCH ammo. There's no such thing as too much money right. But preparing is a never ever ending endeavor. If u have 20k rounds of ammo and no freeze dried food or water you've purchased too much ammo. Water Food First Aid Medicine Weapons Ammo Tools Relationships U can't do much for any amount of time w/o help. I've been a preper for a while. But every week, I learn something or become aware of info i hadnt taken in consideration. Read or Listen to survival fiction . Relationships are so important. That's why the gubs have made militias almost illegal to mention. I would never be in a militia because I have no need to meet a bunch of glowies wanting to fight the government. My goals are to hide from them as they tear themselves apart. Im too old for that shit anyway.

I change the way I train to conserve bullets. I load 2-3 mags with 4-5 rounds each ( include a snap cap to simulate a midfire ) mag. That way I can learn how to get on target, clear a misfire, and reload all in one drill.

there's practice ammo (or reloading components and scrap lead) which you should store-up in case it becomes super-expensive again, and there's actual shtf, ammo. They are not the same thing. You need 1000 rds of 223 per year, 5000 rds of 22lr and 3000 rds of 9mm, just to maintain a decent skill level. It takes twice that much to ATTAIN that skill-level You want 60 gr Nosler Partition softpoint ammo for the 223 and 50 gr, 2000 fps, solid copper Liberty Arms ammo for the pocket 9mm, which is best for both shtf and EDC CCW. Practice with normal 22lr ammo. I once went thru 120,000 rds in 3 years of IPSC competition/training, half of it cast bullet .45 ACP reloads and half thru 22lr conversion unit on a 1911. I wasnt really that much better than I am now, shooting 90% less (thru the pistol)
