Sorry for the late response.. got half way through but my grandson needed me. I love homemade But it's trial and error Just moved all my small shubbies out from last year into IBC tanks Then got the air going in 6 barrels getting them ready for breeding... I should use the seachem dechlorination.. Interesting way to do water changes. I like it

No problem Chris, I just put 6 of my babies out in the pond today, will see in my next video but my camera didn't record when I released them Lol I like making stuff myself, the seachem safe does a lot of gallons per dose that's why I use it, funny how we both put some of our fish out in our ponds, good luck with yours.

I would say add a mesh that's fine enough to filter out the particles but not too fine where the dirt wouldn't suck in. Also double-ensures fry are safe from the vacuum. Your shubunkins, Japanese/American ones, and the Sanke shubunkins, are rly great. Ever thought about keeping another variety of goldfish, because you kept yellow and red comets from before!

That's a good idea, I might keep some sarasa comets in the future, I do like the yellow comets and wonder what I would get if I crossed them with any of my shubunkins like blackwater creek does with sarasa comets, would some be yellow,orange/red, black and white.
