I just love how much character that line adds to DOOM's persona. I really enjoy how he comes off as equal parts nerd and gangster. It's like he makes being a nerd more gangster than being a gangster. RIP DOOM.

Yeah idk about jazz but in rap it's often considered lazy or uninspired when you can predict the next rhyme really often in someone's writing, the more you listen the more you notice how less experienced rappers have that problem

I first heard DOOM when I was 7-8 years old. I’m in my mid 20s now and he’s still one of the single most prolific artists I’ve ever listened to. I’m glad he got to experience blowing up before his passing, he had a rough life and a talent like no other.

One of my favorite ways of DOOM messing with expectations from money folder, he talks about writing the rhyme over 2 or 3 Heines, which would track with other lines he's written about what he's drinking when he's writing but the next line switches the expectation and reveals that the Heines aren't Heineken beers but butts
