Hope the week is going solid for everyone. I've been having some great success lately with the portfolio, so I'm hoping to pass some of that on to you!

Not a bad month for October, made 42 SS sales, one was an enhanced license. I don't have the facts and figures at my fingertips for my other sites. Good to see you back!

Thanks for sharing! Great content. I’m just getting started so not enough sales to share yet - a few zoo animals and puppies but still lots to learn! Will share as I improve and hopefully get more submitted.

October was my best month so far, 42 sales including 3 video sales earning me a total of $92 for the month. That's with a portfolio of just over 500 photos and 200 videos. I'll be interested to see what the typical peaks and troughs of the stock year are after I've done it for a couple of years. I've read that Sept-Dec are often strong months for contributors. Overall for me so far, editorial videos outsell commercial by about 5-1 (probably because my concepts and videography skills for commercial just aren't strong yet), and for photos, editorial and commercial sales are pretty evenly split. I'm still having a great time entertaining myself with stock, and am hopeful of making at least a part time income out of it after a year or so as my video skills improve. Anything that cuts down time spent in an office is a good thing!

You're doing so well, that's great to hear! That's great that the videos are working out well for you, I made another video sale last week and those are always a great surprise. It's also good to know that editorial videos are a good way to go, I haven't even tried with those yet! You're definitely on pace to get out of the office a little more.

Nothing sold yet. I took about 15 pics of the produce area at a grocery store with my cell phone. I was all excited thinking how easy it was. I didn't edit them or anything. I keyworded one... Rejeceted, out of focus! Ha, looked great on that phone screen. lol

Lol I still get the "out of focus " and "excessive noise" on my Walmart outings in the produce aisle. Shutterstock have become stricter now.

@@BrettHondow I experienced some rejections lately too mainly due to "similar content'' and it was so ridiculous, because obviously the reviewer didn't bother to check. So I appealed to Shutterstock and I got some reply which I wasn't able to even open. That's another issue - technical problems on Shutterstock. When I upload pictures there are some issues with adding metadata, but when I tried to do the same with video yesterday it was alright. This is so frustrating. I wonder how Shutterstock works? I have been on it only for a year by now and have uploaded more than 800 photos, but the last two months have been really disappointing mainly thanks to the lack of support from Shutterstock's side.

Since 2 months most of the gud pictures ..well taken pictures are gettin rejected with only 1 reason "the main subject of this image is out of focus"... is any1 else facin the same prob? seems like shutterstock has put up bots for reviews now

Nice progress bro! One question! which MSI laptop do you have? Im trying to buy one but not sure yet. I thought taking the MSI GP75 Leopard 9SF Could you give some advice? ;D

I'm not overly savvy about computers, so I can only say a few of the features of the one I have. I just made sure that it had an i7 8th generation processor, and an 1080 nvidia graphics card. I will say that it works very well for editing video, but if you want to do full projects in 4k, it might be a better idea to get a desktop for better processing power.
