BS dog's don't have empathy! When my father died and I was curled up in bed grieving my dog crawled up behind me and rested his neck on mine. He saw I was hurting and he came to comport me. Dogs have empathy. My Theo was a beautiful soul. ❤

I had the same experience when I was grieving, my dog crawled up on my lap and laid his head on my chest and stayed into my eyes. He was saying you will be ok.

Absolutely!! My profile pic is my dog “Gizmo”. I rescued him at 8 weeks from a horrible life he was living alone in a burned out RV, suffering from worms, having never felt the love of a human. Like Bentley, Gizmo is FULL of empathy, and love! Do you believe dogs can express appreciation?…It may sound crazy, but I truly believe expresses gratefulness for having been rescued. I gave him his first bed, first toy, first bath, and I’m the first human to have ever loved & snuggled him. I’ve never had a more lovinf dog.

I had to laugh at how excited this pup gets with his mom. I have 3 (jack russell, beagle/lab mix & daschund/lab mix) and it doesn't matter if I walk out the front door and come right back in or I'm gone for hours - my pups go crazy on me! My daughter just shakes her head laughing. I'm excited these furbabies love me that much, because they mean the world to me. God Bless you and your wife!

How can people just dumped a dog and drive away as if it's a bag of trash? Dogs are empathetic. They no feelings they know if someone isn't feeling good is angry is sad they know. Because they are amazing. And what a great life he is living what a sweet dog ❤

I know of course dogs have empathy! 💜🤗 They prove this constantly. Whenever I am away from my home for a couple days, my pup is so sad and mopes until I come back. She is ecstatic and has tears in her eyes. My daughter says she is always so sad. I feel so bad. That is not an uncaring animal! She knows when I am down & when I am ill. Dogs are very empathetic. Those lovely humans are beautiful caring dog owners. Those pups hit the jackpot! 💜🥰✌

It’s a natural gift dogs and many other animals have been given. Because dogs are so highly intelligent and emotional, they can absolutely feel OUR emotions and will empathize with us very easily. It’s too bad more humans don’t have that gift.

Some doggies take on the responsibility for their caregivers if sick or injured. I have a small intuitive gift and have spoken with some furry companions who took it on. They were going to die in sacrifice for their guardians. I'm very grateful to be able to communicate comfort and reassuring thoughts. One baby girl lived an additional five years, and then again another five or six months when the chips were down. I am so honored. This puppy seems to be a caring surrogate soul. Sending love.

He was so young when he was abandoned.....I think he imprinted on your wife as his mom. Dogs do have empathy....I saw firsthand when one of my two dogs died...I thought my other dog would die from grief. It took over 6 months, but she finally came around. She would not eat or drink....many vet visits. So, yes, dogs know love and compassion, grief...all the emotions.

Dogs and cats are empathetic creatures. I had a tooth ache once and I let out a moan. My cat came running to see what was wrong. My dog is all over me when I don't feel good. They definitely have empathy
