@@ayywYes,it's completely safe but u need to keep one thing in mind that that you need to turn of shared folders on ur Vm when you are going to test the virus additionally also disable the drag and drop feature and keep a well updated Antivirus to safeguard your host machineand if u are executing petya for the sake of network turn off the network or it might get transfer through the network

You dont need a antivirus, it uses to much ram and cpu usage, if u dont go to shady websites and download shady files you will be fine, trust me its been 3 years since i have used an antivirus and since then i got no viruses, and that is the reasson why you cant pull 60 fps in minecraft, when i deleted avast my pc was more faster and i have gone from 30 to 60 fps in minecraft.

@@imracistandhomophobic2998 for me it was useful a few times. I think I once downloaded textures that were infected to minecraft and Avast blocked the files. Then something similar happened when I used pendrive in school and then in my house. The pendrive was infected because school's computer had a virus.

@HopeCoffee avast is a really good in detecting viruses but I dont think it's better than bitdefender or Kaspersky malwarebytes in my opinion is worse than avast but they are really good in detecting pups so I recommend using malwarebytes + bitdefender or Kaspersky windows antivirus with cloud catches around 82% of viruses without that it's about 72% so I dont recommend that one time my pc got a virus and I didn't even go to any shady websites and windows antivirus didn't find anything but malwarebytes found 5 viruses so I dont think you need to go to shady websites to get a virus so I recommend using one even if you dont go to shady websites Kaspersky is slower than bitdefender but it's better at detecting malware a bit EDIT: I was on only one site that I have never been on but that game has 100k downloads and its verified by play protect so it was probably safe (did a scan with the same antivirus on my phone where I had the game and found 0 viruses) and there is still a way to get a malware even if you only download the not shady stuff for example ccleaner, a malware was put into it or something by hackers in the past and alot of pcs got viruses.

Ummm no -as soon as the virus got extracted it was deleted -when he said not to delete it and tried to lunch it, it got deleted -when he stopped avast and lunched it and started avast midway it stopped it the only way the virus won was when avast was 100% off and I bet if it was installed in time it would of stopped it

According to many different virus tests Kaspersky and McAfee are not much better than Avast, which was actually stealing data (avast admitted it). Basic antivirus software like Kaspersky and McAfee will detect mrs Major 3.0 and delete it however after a complete execution they're not able to stop it. The currently "best" antivirus software is malwarebytes according to many people and Virus tests.

Watch out with installers they sometimes have pages asking for installing things not related to the software including avast. Always read carefully. And don’t spamclick next/accept.

Kaspersky Cloud Free is free like Avast, but has a slightly better detection ratio plus it doesn't bombard you with ads all the time. I've been using Avast for 6-8 years more or less, but I recently switched to Kaspersky Cloud Free.

that MrsMajor virus looks pretty fricking scary to me. . . with my somewhat shallow(maybe semi competent at best)computer skills, if I were to get a virus like this, am pretty sure I'd wet myself upon seeing that ominous screen on my desktop. prior to watching this video, I've Never as much as even heard about this... how do You even get something like this?! one of those adds promising a free cool game or something like that? its been a few years that I've even had a virus at all, am SUPER careful when am online(and paranoid as aff, lol). and am actually STILL on windows 7. with how insanely scary this looks, I'll bet You'd have to be downloading something REALLY specific... like maybe something illegal? Yes? No? am a Noob so please fill me in..

There ways to fix and remove. 1. Fix the LoginUI.exe 2. Run the settings up and search up safe mode. If it blocked use a windows installer disk. 3. When in the part where the cmd is go to show more. There should be safe mode 4. Click reboot and windows will boot to any mode (you need to run on safe mode) 5. If the LoginUI.exe is fixed. All you need is to login and it should not run the mbr overwrite. Now all you need to do is find the virus files and delete them. 6. You should have a clean Computer now. Also run a anit virus program incase there is hidden virus files.

The real test is seeing if, once the file is opened, it can be stopped. No use in scanning if your computer is fucked cuz you unknowingly downloaded a shady file
