Fascinating! I have a couple of blackbirds by my house and they often sing more than one note at the same time, in an ascending scale. I was certain that they were singing more than one note at a time (in music it’s called using a pedal tone) and now I know that they can - and how they do it. It is damper in the morning, there is the dawn chorus and an evening chorus.

Saw a great crested grebe this morning, calling, I've never heard it before and I see them every day, is it just me.

I thought you said there was no dawn chorus, or was that a lie, your really going to have to stop this lying, it does you no good and loses you credibility which is a a low anyway.
