We need to put forward a formula to turn this around. 1) Take measures to halt the decline 2) Have a nature first strategy, all new developments have to have a nature as part of the development, all houses should be built with bird and bat boxes, locations for compost pits, shallow (safe) ponds. 3) All farms must have an annual nature audit (98% of Wales is farms) list top 5 good practices all farms must follow for nature. 4). Have nature only core areas across the UK where humans are excluded. Look at India as an example with its wildlife strategy. 5) ......... etc

There are loads of trees in our road in SE London with just empty soil around them so I did a bit of "seed bombing" around them in the hope that it would make the road look prettier and greener for us all. I scattered loads of UK native herbs & sunflower seeds and they were doing really well until a few days ago some bloke from the council walked down the road and strimmed them all down. Oh well...

I'm 74 now and have seen the ponds filled in, the bluebell woods now fields, and now because of mass immigration more land will be lost, yes land owners, councils, government care little, its sad how much has been lost to when I was a child, but you cannot change it for your against money and greed and government, and here today gone tomorrow politicians leaving the damage they caused behind them, and most people are not bothered.
