Laharl says you only beat him cause he's not the main character.
So he'll beat you and become the main character (AMAZING circular logic here.)
Flonne goes along with the plan.
But they fail.
Rosalind, out of the kindness of her heart, let's Laharl be the main character for one minute.
However one minute's pretty short...how to make an impact?
"Anime!" as Flonne suggests.
Laharl's like bingo!
Then he says stay out of the way Flonne, you'll get in the way.
As it was Flonne's idea, she doesn't take the news very well...

actually Etna mentioned when she appeared after the battle with Laharl that she said "I'm working you hard so you can recarnate faster." and than she drags him off to make him give her a massage. lol

Laharl only destroys the world if you defeat him in the storyline or in the 'I want to fight an Overlord!' that you can only unlock in chapter 1. The one in chapter 13 (this one) will net you flonne.

on chapter 12 or so you have to play the game for 40 hrs and then the proposal "I want to fight an overlord" will be at the dark assembly. approve it, beat it, and "Flonne" will join you. After getting her go to the dark assembly and pass the "I want to be a senator" proposal and have "Adell" become a senator. go back in the dark assembly, pick "Adell" and at the bottom go to "Attend dark assembly", scroll down, and find "Summon Laharl". Approve it, beat it and Laharl will join you.

that follows normally ending but the good ending is what carrys to disgaea 2 etna was overlord in prinny can i really be the hero and she would never give up her overlord powers but in disgaea 2 she was a demon lord while prince was a overlord so if you can say how he became the overlord when we know etna wont give up her power do so

Because the ending in disgaea movie. something happened to laharl. I also have no idea why laharl showed up in disgaea 2.

hehe, i only recently finished disgaea 1. the ending is a lot happier than the anime version, where laharl sacrificed his life for flonne(maybe because he loves her?) and got turned into a priny!

The game, the anime is based off the 1st Disgaea, obviously, but I think all this maddness started with either Makai Kingdom or La Pucelle, I'm not exactly sure

The "red hair" is Adell, and the "pink hair" is Hanako. Ironic though, Laharl refers to Adell as "red hair" in Disgaea DS.

That's true. And I LOATHE the people who keep insisting that the English voice work sucks compared to the japanese version. They're both good IMO.

actually if you played Prinny Can I Really be the Hero?! it shows that Laharl really did die but he got revived back into his old body after a long hard and VERY PAINFUL jobs form Etna.

Well, that's a bit better than mine.... (level 45) For some reason, I hardly used him after chapter 4.... I really should get back into training him up... He is supposed to be the main character.

normally(without increasing levels) prince would be around 600 and flonne 500 but with increased levels prince is 3040 and i dont know bout flonne

that still doesnt say how he became overlord again when he was reincarnated he starts at level 1 and do you think etna would give up her overlord title i still say the good ending is what carryed over cause etna would never give up her overlord title

Laharl doesn't take on very well that he's not the main character anymore. ^^' And those crazy chicks are ruining his one minute of attention. Poor boy. His theme is still the most awesome in the whole game.

Is it still in Disgaea 2? I know it was great in the first one... I found the Waterfalls is a good place too... as you can let the enemy get as high level as you want. (while leaving them fairly weak - as their HP doesn't go up with their MaxHP)

I would also enjoy knowing the name of the song that was playing while Laharl was out... It was very catchy I would have to say. Does anyone know what the name might be?(If anyone knows it I would greatly appreciate it if you send me the name.)

lol in order for prince to have become overlord he would have to ether beat etna or kill etna ether way with prince being weak again he would lose lol

ok so i watch this not knoin wat there sayin but flonne slicin at that guy with a sword then unexpectally and out of nowhere that chick pulls a fuckin 3 barrel minigun i believe its called a gatling gun the minigun has 6 barrels but anyways she starts blastin at him with it then flonne has a drill and some claw thing.....dam this game mus be weird eh lol
