no it wasn't especially in broad daylight that's just bad especially in a situation like this that's pretty much illegal totally impractical & fake. can't take the risk of anyone seeing it someone even not in the vehicles sees helicopters their first thought is gonna being American Special forces & clearly no one wants their fingers on this type of thing it's suppose to look like cartel hit cartel so using helicopters is completely junk & hollywood. It may be wide open area around the road in all directions but people could be anywhere just remember when the police ambush them with the girl there's people somewhere in the open area that kick off the ambush with RPGs one even drives away & later finds the girl only to be shot by Alejandro. So you in reality couldn't be sure or risk someone else being some in that vastness getting away seeing helicopters attack the cars & then people getting out & finishing it. Those two cars could have been on their way to meet someone in that vastness you don't know Graver wouldn't know & thus would be taking a huge risk using copters especially in broad daylight.

Matt, played by Josh Brolin, uses a Daniel Defense M4A1 with a foregrip, Magpul PMAG, tan EOTech 553 sight, and SureFire M720V RAID light as his main weapon of choice, as he did too in the first movie. He also uses the Condor Compact Plate Carrier. Alejandro, played by Benicio del Toro, uses a Heckler & Koch UMP, caliber. 45ACP with a Trijicon SRS attached.

7:58 sequence is soo cool bad guys focus on the front chopper and can't see the rifle man lining up a shot for the driver in the back chopper, but at that angle definitely looks like the shooter could have hit a propeller blade.

@@slappy8941 I think the script with her in it was great, she adds to the spectrum of human behaviour if you know what I mean... without her it would just be pure action movie where every character is a soldier with soldier mindset and soldier skills and soldier behaviour, with her in it, you get to see young bright FBI agent Kate Macer leading FBI HRT team to raid a certain house, where they discover some f*cked up horror scene, when being asked if she wants to catch those responsible she says yes and suddenly she's being used by the CIA as a operation's cover in case someone ask questions afterwards meanwhile CIA is not interested in catching the bad guys at all, what they want is to help Colombia's cartel to regain worldwide domination in drug business, so they are eliminating rival cartel in Mexico. Matt was the one who "really just added unnecessary complication for no particular reason." I'm pretty sure if he would've told her that he is CIA and x y is their actual objective, she would agree (maybe not Alejandro's cold blooded revenge, but the bigger picture is reasonable enough) It's the lies,deception and the dark cloud she was in that made it complicated.

I love every movie Sicario is in, including his werewolf and sheriff movie! I didnt like when they left him stranded in Mexico, but he prevailed. I'm also grateful that Ft. Hood got a name change remebering the Alamo. I pick Mexico anytime over confederates.
