This sounds incredible! Thanks for putting this on my radar, Chris. I've loved Akerholt's translations of Fosse, so this was an instant order. If you're looking for another Scandinavian novel-in-verse, there's one coming out in January called Ædnan by the Sámi-Sweish author Linnea Axelsson. It's excellent, and your thoughts on Sickle resonate closely with it thematically, linguistically, and stylistically, I think.

How are you doing sir . Iam Arabic lady subscriber to several British and American KZfaq channels. We are as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level improve our English as well and literature lovers too. Thank you for your wonderful cultural channel. In the past only travel aboard or looking for books to learn new information. Nowadays KZfaq channels as open universities for every one google is our library. We need only notebooks and pen . I gathered main theme of book you mentioned and author biography briefly here it’s Ruth lillegraven ( born 1978 ) she is Norwegian poet , novelist and children writer . Her award include brage prize and Nynorsk literature prize . Sickle plot summary setting Norway in 1800s Endre must to take over family farm from his father who swings sickle and sharpens scythe and say this is only way in which rocks and stones and mounts and waves can still be ours . But Endre is strange , he keeps to himself , unlikes brothers who are merry and full of joy.actually all of us know Norwegian playwright henrik Ibsen who is considered founder of modernism in theatre ,father of realism . Did you know sir his famous play doll house was adapted in Arabic drama . International adaptation such as television 1974 West German Nora helmer ,1992 British television David Thacker. Radio and films too slient film , 2020 American film friend of world . Novels memoirist , journalist Wendy swallow searching for Nora after dollhouse and dance ballet Nora for English National ballet in 2019 . Iam so sorry to be little long but reading and writing both are great ways to improve our English as none native speakers. I hope I can learn a lot from your knowledge. Merry Christmas happy new year in advance. Best wishes for you your dearest ones .

Hey. Nothing about the book or your review. I have this running joke with friends of "confusing" Thursdays and Tuesdays due to their similarity. Every Thursday the group chat receives a "Happy Tuesday" and vice versa. (I am in control of the weekdays, and it's always Friday in Thuringia (It's always sunny...)) Just wanted to thank you for confusing me with your random weekdays (Monday?) uploads. Unbeknownst to me, you're turning the joke on me. Perhaps my karma for confusing others. PS. Thank you for your videos.
