Part 1 of excerpts from the teaching entitled "Non-Action."
The full teaching can be found here -www.inner-quest.org/Siddharam...
Siddharameshwar Maharaj is one of the greatest unknown saints of the age who attained the highest abode of Eternal peace. He was born in August 1888 in the small village of Pathri, in the district Sholapur of India. From 1925 until 1936, he taught many disciples and helped dozens attain Self-realisation. His teachings were further spread around the globe by his most revered disciples, such as Ranjit Maharaj, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Muppin Kaadsiddheshwar Maharaj and Ganapatrao Maharaj Kannur. His samadhi shrine today is located at Banganga, Walkeshwar in Bombay.
Music: Peace - Deep Meditation - Trance - Deep Sleep

Yes Perry - it can appear that way. His exhortation to 'DO NOTHING' has so many levels and subtleties to it that it is easy to misunderstand his pointing here. The Ultimate letting go happens when one realises, or sees beyond mere intellectual understanding, that there is no ONE to do anything and that everything is unfolding perfectly as it is and is meant to be. Sounds simplistic and fatalistic even, but what Maharaj is pointing to is the core of Reality. Such a challenge this is to the ego and rational mind.

@@SamaneriJayasara Beautifully said....So the point of practice than would appear to only strengthen this false belief I am the doer...So if i am understanding correctly by a very structured daily practice one will ultimately become totally frustrated and surrender.... A approach to practice is the only way to prove this out and only after many years of tearing down this ego..... It does become more and more obvious that there is no body home....
@SamaneriJayasara
@SamaneriJayasara 3 жыл бұрын
@@perry_123 Yes, anything done (including a meditation or spiritual practice) with the belief that there is a 'doer' or 'someone' to get or achieve something is the thing that has to be seen through and uprooted. The point of all practice - structured or not - is for all this to come tumbling down. It happens by itself, however.....not by 'my' will or efforts.

@@SamaneriJayasara yes, beautifully put! Everything is Perfect beyond all human comprehensions of that word. Perfectly and (unconditionally)Lovingly unfolding to itself infinitely and eternally. Totally impossible to work out why or how it happens to be so from within our usual framework and concepts though. It is something that has revealed itself many times during deep meditative experiences and more concretely during high dose psychedelic experiences. Reminds me of what Robert Adams continuously said in his talks 'All is well and everything is unfolding as it should'. I use that as a sort of mantra occasionally and I can feel it deeply resonating with an absolute truth when it's said. It takes me immediately back to that unshakable certainty that appeared during those peak experiences. It's actually breathtaking and unbelievable that this is actually the case, but when it's seen or revealed it's completely undoubtable.

Man’s ignorance is truly limitless! It ranges anywhere from Right Here to Infinity! For the Sage it’s closer than right here and so close he can’t even see it anymore ( no longer in his sight of vision). For the rest of us we have eyes closed and can’t even sense how big the ignorance is! Bring ( draw in ) the illusion so close to you that you lose sight of it and no longer have to indulge in it!

Im convinced that there is a sanskirt and/or hindi word that should be translated as “knowing” but is always translated as knowledge. They talk about the higher knowledge or self-knowledge as being different than regular knowledge, and then proceed to exactly describe self-knowing. It is not static but in the present moment, it is experiential, it is continuous, it is almost an activity, not something acquired once... stuff like that. Actually could save a mountain of frustration if theyd get this right. If i orated these books online id sub in knowing and make a note about it. Check and see. Everytime you come across “knowledge” sub in “knowing”; works better, works perfectly actually.
@SamaneriJayasara
@SamaneriJayasara 3 жыл бұрын
This is great point and I can see the potency here and the potential to reduce much confusion. Yes, "Knowing" is so much more dynamic and less a possession like knowledge - which is static and objective, as you highlight. I'll have a go next time. Thanks for you input. There are always issues with English translations which can lose the power of the original language and its meaning or pointing.

@@SamaneriJayasara Thanks. Somewhat curiously, this video happens to have more of the rare exceptions to what Im saying than normal. “Knowledge and ignorance are the material cause of the world” is obviously Not about knowing. And another is more debatable than sometimes happens “only self-knowing destroys ignorance” a bit of a judgement call. Anyway good luck God bless and thanks for you good work. 🙏🏻👍🏻

@@SamaneriJayasara I just read the end of the the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad recapitulation and thought about you and this topic of knowing: “There is no such thing as real knowledge which is partial; any true knowledge is complete, it is integral, it is totality of experience, and knowledge is experience. One of the points stressed here is that knowledge is to be a complete vision, and not a partial look; the other point is that knowledge is not information, it is not a function of the intellect, it is not a ratiocination of the understanding; but it is direct experience. Knowledge and experience are identical. That which has not become part of our being, cannot be called our knowledge. Knowledge is Being. This is the final message of the Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣhad.” Pretty blatant that the word should be knowing. Is true about 90% of the time. And much of the other 10% of the time, when knowledge is more accurate knowing, “wisdom” is the better than either. Ok thanks for listening and all that you do. Maybe I should write an article, include the Oxford definition of the English word “knowledge“ etc. I believe the word Im discussing is jnana, correct? Do you know?

In german language we differ between learnt knowledge of the mind "Wissen" = knowing and instant inner knowledge as "Erkenntnis" of your inner Beeing. Ironic that ErKennen as a semantic play would be "knowing Him"
@ibperson7765
@ibperson7765 3 жыл бұрын
@@Anastasio777 Oh. Yes. Interesting indeed. The deeper my direct knowings get, the more Im leaning toward a Him than an It for the totality or essence/source of reality. Although it is a very equanimous, impersonal Him. A bit “It”ish but more Him. The Absolute beyond words and beyond Him/It, but if forced to choose I’ll join in with the “knowing him” expression.
