@SuperBigchile They will still sell some but they seem to be increasing run sizes because the last dozen or more figures have not sold out yet. So the demand can't be as great as they are thinking. Hopefully the prices come down a little bit. -Wendy

@MrJoecarden Well considering the Mezco is all plastic with a fabric shirt and around 10 points of articulation and stiff legs, it should cost less. The Sideshow Jason has 36 points of articulation, a full rubber body suit, and a full fabric outfit, not to mention removeable boots. These collectibles are in different categories. The mezco is a large action figure and the Sideshow's are more of a clothed doll. We don't collect action figures, but I agree, the Mezco looks really cool. Peace, Jay

As usual excellent and very detailed review and like moggie215, not my thing but your reviews are the best and funniest; anyway, I completely agree with you with companies going down a path where only the "well heeled" is going to be able to collect whatever lines they choose, I mean the Iron Monger is where I had to say "no more", while it would look amazing in every Iron Man collection, it is priced out of the reach for most, sad, sad , sad....

Well Ebay is always an option, since what you see is what's available. Ebay is however, one of the more expensive routes. We pre-order many of our items, from Sideshow, Cornerstore Comics and Alter-ego Comics. Horror isn't very popular right now in 1/6th scale, so releases are far and few between. Good luck. Peace, Jay

@ansol2006 Underworld figures would be very cool. There is a Selene out there but it is not a major manufacturer. The outfit is really nice but the headsculpt's likeness isn't really there. -Wendy

@dfuzeNL Well (A-) the only other way to get this set is if you buy customs, which will cost you at least five times as much, (B-) while Bruce's Headsculpt may be a 7 or so out of 10, there's no denying who the character is. Overall, I think Sideshow did a phenomenal job with this set especially considering the originally cost. Do I think, they are worth 80 Euros now, sure. Besides, if another manufacturer makes them they might be better quality, but they'll cost at least triple. Peace, Jay

I'm thinking about getting the Evil Ash and normal Ash Sideshow figures as I am a huge Army Of Darkness fan. I see you guys have them both. I think Evil Ash looks great but I'm not sure about the normal Ash figure because of the headsculpt. I can get them for 40 euros each. Are they worth getting? Or maybe you can do a review? ;)

NECAs latest offerings are much better than the older sideshow figures their parts 3 and 4 are much more accurate than sideshows and much more affordable too.Their part 2 version is also alot more accurate.Same with their part 7.

The only thing this figure is missing is the weed wacker circular saw thing that Jason kills Dr. Crews with. That would have made it perfect. Still a cool figure though.

@paulalien Like we said, we've seen some customizers add great great weathering to these guys. You should pick him up and make it happen, if possible. Yeah, Jason part-3 has better aftermarket value but, Jason part-7 was Kane Hodder's first appearance as Jason, and everybody knows that Kane is the definitive Jason period. Thanx for watching. Great fig and I highly agree for the price point at the time these were a straight up steal! Its just a shame they really dont stand up to todays standard of 1/6 figure. Part 7 is also my favorite look of Jason and its Kanes debut! So how can you go wrong! Great and informative review guys! I'll be putting up my Custom Pt.7 review in the coming week. Look out for it! I share your view that I would pay less to have them made like this again. These remain quality figures even by Hot Toys standards. There's a degree of fun that sinks in to figures like this when you don't have to make a partial mortgage payment to have them. Great review.

Not to be picky but on the tombstone in the opening you spelled his last name Vorhees, the correct spelling is Voorhees :).

I was able to score obe recently for about $60. It still a pretty impressive figure, even today.

Great review and figure! I have the Jason from Part 3 in this line and the workmanship for the price, it cost me $40.00 when it came out, is great. As an FYI Sideshow is releasing a new Part 3 1/6 scale figure for around $210!!! This new one does not even have a removable mask or alternate unmasked head!!! I feel bad for 1/6 horror collectors just starting out. To me in this case you get less and pay more. Why have the prices increased around 400%? What choice do new collectors have? Either pay after market prices for the older line or the crazy inflated new price I suppose.

I'm just about done with these 200 and up figures. they don't seem worth it to me anymore. Of course there will be certain ones that I'll still have to get. its not movie accurate at all the 7 inch neca figure is allot more accurate then this guy is hes outfit should be black you should be able to see hes ribs due to his outfit having torn material and it just doesnt look right at all

sorry but the Mezco 1/6 version is better and more accurate than that skinny doll
