When this first got announced I really wanted to pick it up. Base looks amazing and pricing was ok...but that pose. I just couldn't get past it for some reason. It kind of looks like an old granny creeping down the stairs kind of pose,I don't know lol. But I do like it overall.

snunja lol. I didn't even think of that. It's a good statue, but the base is definitely the best part of it, which is surprising for a xenomorph statue.

I did pull the trigger on this statue. Aliens was my favorite of the franchise. It did arrive with the two small horns on the display broken. Didn't want to go through the returns bs so I repaired it. I do love it but to me it is overpriced. Overall though, I am happy. Thanks for the review

@Brian Swanson This honestly is a tough one to answer. If you're an Alien fan, I think there are better statues out there that you can get that would look better than this one. I also think this is a good one to have if you can find it at a discounted price. Now, since you like in the UK with all the extra costs added on, I can't really recommend it unless you really have to have it. My thing is if you have to ask if it's worth the price, then more than likely it isn't. I'd say wait to see if you can find it at a highly discounted price to offset the extra costs you have to deal with. Hope this helps some.

I'm selling my Raptus because of its plastic nature and so I can't justify this piece. That sucks for me big time because I love the Alien series. I would rather keep my Neca alien figures than keep my Raptus. Sideshow also couldn't get me a Alien King that wasn't broken so I gave up on the king as well. I have the Queen on order so we'll see what happens there. I wanted the King and Queen and Raptus and Warrior but the quality is just bad. I got a refund for the King and spent the money on Prime 1 Guts the black Swordsman and Guts Armored and F4F guts exclusive. Sideshows gotta step up their game. Was going to say too the King actually was impressive other than the plastic xenos but I really loved the aggressive stance he had. Would of loved to get that piece not in pieces lol.

simonriddick Damn, it sucks you couldn't get a king that wasn't broken. It's an amazing piece, and I wish you could have gotten one that reflected that. Also, I completely understand why someone wouldn't like the plastic nature of the Raptus statue, especially for the price. I've been lucky in the fact that all my statues, with the exception of the wolf Predator bust, have been top notch. The court of the Dead is the only line where I can say that every piece has been fantastic. Btw, how was the guts statue? Was it as good as the prototype pictures?

Kraken Hunters It's next level for sure. The size of the piece and the detail is just something that will keep you looking at it. I had someone stop by and he said holy crap when he saw it lol. I said I know eh?. I can't wait for the armored version and even the F4F piece looks awesome. I also have Megatron and Optimus from Prime 1 which are awesome but now seeing XM optimus and Xm starscream I feel like I need those lol!. XM will be double the cost though no doubt. Good review btw keep it up.

Here in Australia this is $739.00. As much as i do like it (but agree with your complaints), i think it maybe too far up the price counter for what you get. At $400 i could nearly overlook the issues, but not for $739.00. I am now looking into the large statue of Nosferatu by Infinite Studios (that looks stunning). I am glad you did the review, as it really saved me from possible disappointment. Here in AU we have to be extra picky due to the increase in conversion $, inbound tax and high shipping for these statues.

Hatch Holy Shit! Why in the hell is it so much of a mark up? I agree, this piece is not worth that amount at all. Glad we could save you some money and disappointment on this one. I did see that Nosferatu statue, and it does look amazing. Glad some of the classic horror characters are getting some love.

JCORR76 It is a good compliment piece to Internecivus Raptus statue. My goal it to get the alien egg next to complete that collection. Hope you enjoy it when it arrives.

I have this paired with bad blood predator. My advice to people would be not to purchase if it's a stand alone piece. But looks great when paired with a companion piece.

Maybe it's the lighting but the warrior looks almost white. I just checked out the prototype on SS website. It is darker but so is the lighting and it looks wet as opposed to the dry look that you mentioned.

J DE I get so pissed when the production run look inferior to the prototype. I almost wish they didn't show those because it builds your hopes up, and makes the let down even worse when you see it in person.

From a distance it looks a great statue but up close it looks cheap and it needs a new paint job. Not the quality I expected from sideshow. Overall a nice piece but could be better

I don't like the base at all. It detracts from the alien itself. They blend together when the base is also an organic/alien looking structure. The base should be an industrial/metallic structure to take a back seat and let the xenomorph really stand out.

michalsavatar7 That's a valid criticism. While I do like the base, I can easily understand why some people actually wouldn't.

thanks for the review. wow, I'm glad I watched this. the mouth looks terrible and definitely threw me off. to me, the mouth is very important and the main thing; and if I'm spending almost 500$ I want it to be perfect.

@athan336 The base is the one thing that saves this piece. Its paint is great. It's still not worth the money they want for it though.

@@krakenhunters9754 I'd prefer it if the base was a similar color to the body, but the piece is just 2 colors, the body is just light blue, not that slimy

@athan336 I'd have to agree. That's one thing Sideshow can never get right on their alien pieces- that wet look from the films. That, and that mandible jaw looks so cheap.

everything looks ok but mouth is terrible...color is wrong and yes looks cheap like piece of plastic,my god i didn't expect that from sideshow...i think that i will buy space jockey on e-bay...sadly i need to leave this one behind.

ReptiliumMusic The mouth was the only thing that didn't match the rest of the statue for us. It looked ridiculously cheap for the price they were asking for it. We're glad we could save you some money. I've been thinking about getting the space jockey off eBay as well.
