Hi Cynthia, no, you cannot. I tried to make it with round beads, it didn't work, so I change the pattern a bit and made a tutorial.. It will be up tonight. :) Sidonia

La pietra centrale è uno Chaton ss39 di 8mm; I biconi sono da 3mm e le rocailles sono 15/0. Sidonia :-)

Sidonia, i need your help! I made the solitaire ring, I know that these earrings are a similar pattern to the solitare ring so before i make them i have to say, when i made the ring the chaton was loose. I even did the ring twice and both times it was a little loose, what do you think im doing wrong??? Thank you!

Carla Gomez Hi, Carla. The reasons your bezel is loose can be two: 1) are you sure your stone is a chaton or is it a rivoli, maybe? Is its shape like a diamond or like a bicone? If it has a bicone shape then it is a rivoli, which is smaller than a chaton. 2) and are you using Miyuki seeds or an other brand? Seed beads of different brands are bigger, even if of the same size and the difference can be quite significant. I hope this helps! Sidonia

Sidonia's handmade jewelry Hello Sidonia! So very nice to see you! You are a most dear woman. I now know what the problem is. It is the tension. For us new beaders - the ones who took it up all because of you and your wonderful teaching tutorials,would like for you to stress the tension. This thing while creating is so fragile - but you must pull tight and keep it tight - don't let it slip, and then the back will be taunt, rather than baggy. It is this bagginess which is letting the stone turn, and then slip out. It took me 5 different times to figure it out. You can't pull it too tight, or the string would break. Somethings, can't be pulled too tight or distortion occurs. There is no distortion in this - and you must pull tight.

LarkaStark Well - I was almost done, and plop this one came out too. So I took a monofilment thread and went around the center bypassing the 15/0s and pulled this tight. Now I don't think it will pop out.

Are you sure you're using a chaton and not a rivoli? This pattern does not work with a rivoli!

Dovresti poterlo fare iniziando con 10 biconi. Ci sarà, probabilmente, da modificare o aggiungere un giro o due di perline 15/0 quando arriverai a chiudere il lavoro dietro. Prova, non dovrebbe essere difficile.

Ciao, Maria. Nella parte bassa, a destra, del video, c'è un gruppo di cinque iconcine: clicca sulla seconda da sinistra a destra, quella vicino all'icona a forma d'orologio. Si aprirà uin piccolo menu in cui avrai la possibilità di selezionare ON per attivare i sottotitoli. Fammi sapere se ci sei riuscita. Sidonia

Sì, si può. Inizia con 12 biconi, segui tutti i passi di questo video tranne l'ultimo (per dodici invece che otto biconi). Fai ancora un giro con tre 15/0 come hai fatto l'ultimo (quello con cinque 15/0) aggiungendo quindi tre volte tre 15/0; per chiudere ripassa tra le 15/0 in mezzo agli ultimi tre gruppi di tre che hai aggiunto. Non so se ti sarà d'aiuto, spero di sì. Fammi sapere :) Sidonia

IVY MARIE GENOLOS Ivy, reading back what I wrote I realized you may not have seen that below the video screen where it says "Published on Nov 20, 2013" you can see the words "show more".
