Sorry for the delay, had a problem about the upload, don't know the reason. Not much is known for this battle so I hope it's good enough to depict it, I did not include some of the details to not confuse your mind. The last ''one'' soldier part is symbolic, I just tried to capture some cool cinematic shots. :) And don't forget, Carthago delenda est ! It should be remembered that while Cato the Elder was of the opinion that Carthage must once and for all be dealt with, as they were too big a threat too close to Rome, Scipio Nasica Corculum, son-in-law of the great Scipio Africanus and cousin of Scipio Aemilianus, would constantly say to the Senate that "Carthage deserves to exist". Absolutely smashing video.

Curious, he should've had a really advanced mind to think about peace in that times. I'm also a pacifist, but in that times it would've been impossible to keep the things cool between the two nations, the whole Punic wars started as a competition for who would get the whole West Mediterranean. In case of Carthago having survived, it would've been another cold (and not so cold) war between them and the Romans, just like it happened with the Parthian and Sassanids. Carthage couldn't just forgive the Romans for destroying all of their empire

@TheNapster153
@TheNapster153 Жыл бұрын
@@DiocletianLarius Add to that point, this is one of those cases where war fatigue causes an opposite reaction. Rather than sue for peace and the settling of differences, the choice was made to double down and go through with attrocities. Coming from in-game observation, the city of Carthage itself would always be an enemy of Rome on its own. It's position on the map and AI behaviour makes it notorious as a fleet dispenser, and if left on its lonesome, it would screw over the seas and coasts of Rome. I'm only starting my second campaign in Octavion's, but I'm already of mind to burn the city from the start for how much it stares at me from across the sea.

Yet again an amazing video! Almost feels like im in there in the Action, in the carnage, but if i truly were, i would probably be shitting my pants. Im not scared of alot of things and ive stared death in the eye on numerous occassions but when i think about actually being in such a battle in that time era with arrows and burning rocks flying around, that im in that bloody carnage, i would definitely be shitting my pants. Really gave me goosebumps man this video. Truly amazing stuff. Splendid work. And that last soldier may have been symbolic, but that guy was so bad-ass, knowing his fate yet standing there proudly. I was kinda expecting the Altar/building to fall and crumble at the end tho because it was already burning and then hit with one of those rocks. Wassnt possible i guess bc of the engine? No matter.

This is amazing. I can feel the fear that the Carthaginians must have felt when facing the ruthless Roman war machine. And the slughter came after. But , what is it? Is it like a cutscene from a game, or did you make this using game's engine..? I'm curious.
