With the official Siemens tutorials/files, connecting a Simatic S5 CPU in TIA Portal 15.1 was easy as hell!

Hello! I'm trying to establish a connection between a S5 115U and S7-1200, using profibus. Would you kindly share which tutorials/files you used to achieve this connection? Any help will be greatly appreciated

you need the S5 IM 308 .gsd file for Step7/TIA. The rest is told in the tutorials such as support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/6556876/how-do-you-operate-an-s5-(with-im-308-c)-as-a-dp-slave-on-the-profibus-dp-when-the-dp-master-is-an-s7-300-400-?dti=0&lc=en-WW

Which connection do you mean, Profibus or Profinet?

@@OpelAmpera2011 Profibus... some users have this problem! I'm revamping the process and in a few days I'll tell you my opinion 😁

@@mariodb0 The Profibus connection is configured via the WinXP software COM PROFIBUS and then transferred to a flash card. It is bidirectional, as you can see in my other video where the Microbox (TIA Portal) recieves a bit from the S5

@@OpelAmpera2011 Yes, but your microbox pc video is equipped with WinAC RTX and that is a 300 cpu emulated! S7 300 and 400 is definitely compatible with FDL profibus used in S5 connection! 1500 device is difficult to receive the data parameterized with Com Profibus direction to the master!! 🥸

@@mariodb0 In this case I suggest to set up the connection with the S5-LAN++ adapter www.process-informatik.de/9359-LAN_s5-lan.html/?lang=en_ You simply plug it on the PG interface of the S5 and connect a LAN cable
