My woo girl moment is that I had car trouble this week but I put on my big girl pants and bought a new battery for the car and figured out how to change it MYSELF! I did cry at walmart buying a socket wrench but when it was all said and done and my car started up I felt so strong and smart and good 🥰 -Christina

my woo girl moment is definitely my fitness journey! I have been consistent with going to the gym for the last 13 months!! I have closed my rings for the last 382 days!! (in a healthy way, I have adhd lol) but I can run 4 miles, lift heavy, and I am part of a indoor cycle group!! I have NEVER been so confident in myself both mentally and physically. AND my anxiety is significantly better.

Talking at the beginning about hoping people grew up since high school, my oldest is in 8th grade and when she talks to me about unfortunate things kids at school often do, one of the things I tell her is that hopefully one day they'll grow up enough to regret those kinds of things. Not that we hope people live with regret and guilt, but that they eventually mature and change for the better. We acknowledge that some people don't, but most people actually do.

Sierra and Riayn, have you considered trying the sleep headphones that are like a soft headband that you can sleep in? I connect them to my (charging overnight) phone and I can listen to something to fall asleep. My boyfriend got them for me because it helps me to listen to soft music to sleep, but it keeps him up, so this way he can't hear it. It would also solve the problem of needing to put your phone in a certain spot or potentially strangling yourself with the cord.

I mean this in the most respectful way, but I suggest not using the term OCD outside of the context of the actual mental health disorder because it minimizes the reality of people who experience that struggle. It was mentioned in passing and I know it’s very common to use it to describe preferences for cleanliness and organization. So trying to change the habit of how we use that word is something kind we can all try to do.

For any girlys having issues going outside during the day; my aunt (who is not a smoker) noticed that all of her coworkers who were smokers at her office, they would get so much more breaks and outdoor time than she ever would during the day, so she started going outside when they would go out for their smoke breaks. She also realised because they're taking smoke breaks, they actually get more breaks during their workday than she ever did. So even if she just goes outside to get some sunshine or just drinks a coffee outside, that's an extra break that she wasn't going to have otherwise!!

I love coffee so much and like y’all sometimes it would make me feel weird and I don’t like breakfast in general. I started using a protein shake as my coffee creamer instead of actual coffee creamer and it has changed the game for me. It makes the coffee settle so much easier!

I found this podcast so interesting! I typically work from 9 am to 6:30-7 pm. Depending if I work out or have other chores after work, I’ll start cooking dinner for my husband and stepson around 7:30 pm, and we don’t usually eat until about 8-9 pm! I feel bad we don’t eat earlier but it’s the best I can do to get dinner done in about an hour to an hour and a half.

When Paloma was explaining the 2 dinners thing, it made my son's eating habits make so much more sense! His mom's family is Mexican and often goes through a drive through or eats a decent size meal at 3:30ish on the way home from or right after school and then will have another dinner/smaller meal later in the evening closer to 7 or 8. It always through us (me and my husband) for a loop when we'd pick him up on Fridays and then be sitting down with him for dinner at our house and he wouldn't be hungry because he'd already eaten. We were always so confused as to why they would have him eat dinner at his mom's house when everyone knew he'd be having dinner at our house. Thank you for the "Aha moment!" pointing out the cultural difference. :) That eating schedule did not work for my kiddo though. He'd eat lunch at school at 11ish, and have first dinner at 3:30 or 4. But then when it came time for 2nd dinner at 7ish, he wasn't hungry because he just at ate 4, so he'd skip it. But then he'd wake up starving at 1am and eat a bowl of cereal because the last time he'd eaten was 4pm. It was a nightmare for his sleep schedule XD Now he's 13, so he's growing and in the phase of ALWAYS being hungry. Now that his schedule is switched, and he's at our house during the week, we'll have dinner between 5 and 6. Several evenings a week, I teach dance and Zumba classes from 5-8, so my husband and son still have dinner between 5 and 6, but they put mine in the fridge. Then I'll eat dinner when I get home between 8:30 and 9. My husband grew up eating dinner late ~8pm and hated it, so he prefers having dinner now a that "normal" earlier time. I took a lot of dance classes in the evenings growing up, especially in high school, so my mom usually had dinner ready by 4:30 for us to eat before we went to our activities, or pack with us and eat in-between classes. Sometimes I'd have half of my dinner at 4:30 and then eat the rest when I got home closer to 8:30.

I'm crying into my ice cream while watching this. Sierra, you are such a good mother. You have your shit together. You're pregnant and still excelling at being a mom to a toddler. I also have a toddler and I'm at the end of week 12 in pregnancy. I am miserable and feeling irritable and I feel like I'm failing at life. It makes me really sad that I've been getting irritated with my toddler. It's not who I am. My husband is an emotional brick wall and I get no comfort from him. I'm sorry to be such a downer but I'm really feeling it right now.

Atlantic Canada here. This probably differs between rural and urban areas (I'm not talking like farmers, just people with different work situation or commutes), but growing up, we ate at 5:10/5:15 - however long it took Dad to get home after his work ended at 5. Now, living in a rural area near an urban centre, with two kids under 8, and a husband with a long commute, we aim for 6pm, which is late to a lot of our other family. Kids are to bed by 730 and I'm not much after that! I can't imagine eating much later. Oof the heartburn!

We have dinner in my house between 8 and 9... sometimes 10, but that will depend on what we are doing that day, if we had children we'd eat earlier, because of their bedtime. When I lived with my mom, we eat at 7 because of the time she got home, my husband's family eats dinner at 5-6 depending on if they are alone or entertaining... it really just depends on what stage of life you are in and how your mealtimes fit in with your day

I love the when do you have dinner convo 😂 we usually eat between 5:30 and 6, unless the kids have evening activities and then we eat before activities. Growing up 4 was pretty normal for dinner for mom to get us fed before activities. But we’d go to ball practice or what have you and our teammates would be going to get dinner after and it was so weird to us. One time I spent the day at a friends house as a kid and they literally didn’t eat until like midnight (it might have been earlier but my early dinner self def thought it was midnight)

I play piano for a living, and the club I play at closes at 2AM, and I have a commute home, so I'm usually not home until closer to 3. And then I need to eat dinner, and I don't want to go to sleep straight away so that I can digest it a little bit, so I'm usually up until 4:30/5 most nights. And so I sleep in quite a bit compared to most people. It's definitely an interesting schedule, but I've always been a super night owl, so it works out. Although I do feel like the weirdo waking up hella late compared to everyone I know lol.

Train your husbands and boyfriends early in your relationships girls. Prepare meals, especially dinner. TOGETHER. There is nothing worse when you start a family than to have kids and husbands sitting and waiting on YOU to make dinner. It is good experience and training for kids as they are able to help with some aspect of the mealtime, and it might seem romantic in the beginning of a relationship to wait on a man and prepare a meal for him , but after years of marriage that will wear off😉

The real housewives of New Jersey!!! I used to actually watch a lot of brad mondo when my daughter was a newborn. I really got back into Gilmore girls during that time too.

Greys Anatomy is a great binge show. Also Gilmore Girls is my all time favorite show and have watched it over and over.

Im from sweden (lived here all my life) and throughout my whole life dinner has always been between 17-19, sometimes later bc life happens but yes 17-19 has always been the standard for my fam, probably cuz thats when mom and dad would come home from work, lunch for me is my breakfast (im on long term sick leave and i wake up everywhere between 9-13 depending on the day) and then i snack throughout the day but when i worked i hade breakfast at 9-10, lunch at 12-13, big/medium snack at 15-16 and then dinner when i came home 17-19 BUT im half Israeli/jewish and when i was a kid and my dad was alive (he’s the one from israel) we had to wait until the sun went down for shabbas dinner on Fridays and in sweden in the summer that meant we hade to wait until like 22-23 cuz the sun is like nope i refuse to go away 😅and i noticed a big difference when i visit my family in Israel, they always hade big dinners around 19-21 and it could keep going until bedtime and throughout the day you just like snack all the time, if an aunt would see you without food in your hands they would just give you stuff cuz omg you cant go hungry 😅

Dinner - between 7/8. I get out of work at 5, then go straight to the gym. So by the time I'm home, it's 6:30/7. Then to cook and eat. Family of 4.
