5/18/2024 Arrowhead Hunting Adventure on the Ohio River ( Shores of West Virginia). Beautiful Fishspear Type Arrowhead found in my sifter. Also a beautiful TINY piece of rubbed hematite.

Hey Rocks you really find those points fish spears and native American artifacts, that is amazing, and you are so calm about it and layed back the average tru American would be so excited to explore like you do,on the Ohio, diggin' for antique toys and marbles and we love when you find a crock are a bottle you get so excited that is how we know you are for real, keep up the good work, Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boots are off for the year starting now, water warming up and feeling good. Weve had major high water and rain here in middle TN, been doing good last few weeks. Found a KILLER beaver lake couple weeks ago. Best paleo ive recovered

Dont wade in the rivers man without protection. Wear the hip waders all year. If you are churning up the sediments at all.....it is a must. All the toxins.....settle where you are. I have even been wearing gloves. Rubber ones. I take them off them I do clips.

Even though the river is up, you’re still finding neat nutting stones and that fish spear was spectacular to find Rocks! We could go a few days without rain here in central Illinois, we’re having too much of it!

Yea...I dunno what happened James. It must have rained a good deal up river someplace. I wanted to go try and sift an Amos point today....but that place is just in to deep of water now.

yea. It is odd stuff. And probably could only be found using water to sift. I doubt you could ever see something like that in a field that has been plowed. Probably more common than you realize.....just almost invisible. Those small flint ridge bird point are all over the river valley.....so those people had an ancient empire of some kind

Yea. But in order to do the Arrowhead uploads......I have to do the other videos for the $$$. Kind of crazy.....but digging in basically junk......pays DOUBLE than the arrowheads. Esp If I can find plastic toys. And put the plastic toys in the cover image. I think the BIG thing....THE TOYS. Christmas. Holidays. Advertisers like the toys. As it goes on......more uploads I get on. The more arrowhead uploads I will go. I have on 2,000 now. I am about good

Yea.....those are just crazy items. That last one that looks like apencil tip is just crazy looking. I am sure I will find more. I am just scraping the base clay every trip now looking for those

Thanks. Not to bad. The river is even higher today. It must have rained someplace...LOL. Should be better by tomorrow. I went up to the dump today....feels like it is 120 degrees...hahaha

The river is up. Id say it will be 2 days till it is prime to sift. I at least found some stuff. It took a long time to fill a screen today in that water.

It has been nasty out on the river. I went out earlier...started finding stuff. And a storm front started rolling in....throwing up waves. I just had to leave. It still has not poured rain though.....they were calling for flash flooding and everything...LOL

Nice fish spear for the collection! Man, I can't believe how tiny that piece of hematite is! It definitely takes a trained eye to find artifacts that small. I am starting to get the impression that Squirrel Man is spoiled LOL!

Look up the ancient points and tools they are finding on an island in the Chesapeake bay they are finding stuff in layers they can date through geology

Wondering what the correlation is between the tiny pieces of hematite and the fish Spears. Someone mentioned kids playing with the hematite but any encampment would have kids so why isn't there tiny pieces where you find other point types? Squirrel Man is talkative today lol

Well the association with the hematite......it is with the tiny flint ridge bird points. I am finding no worked hematite on the fishspear sites. Just the tiny bird point sites

Be careful with waders on while on the kayak Rocks! I don’t know how deep it is, but if you fall off the kayak it’s gonna be like anchors on your legs when they fill up with water, stay safe brother!
