Hi. From America.via Hong Kong- Chinatown. Working on footwork this semester. Nice to see what Drills you have. I'm in marketing, especially for social media. I use Ving Tsung for manufacturing and not getting arrested for walking while black.

Interesting...I like those side movements to the side-back. But have to be quick with the reflexes..or the enemy will just turn and punch again.

One must first read range correctly, or footwork is immaterial. Our movement should then follow beside lines of force. The hands should "feel", but the feet should lead. We should NOT move backward, but wedge forward and take their base. Doing so removes their power and increases our own. The key is watching their knee position [just like the Wooden Dummy]. Our approach should split their force or slide just outside the forward leg. This prevents their kicking and puts us in a position to advance into their structure and base. Moving backward allows the enemy to reengage. If we wait to be hit; we'll get what we're waiting for.

2:36 Yee gee kim yun m a is way to wide, beyond the shoulders. When you showed the Huen Ma step everytime you did it wrong, your groin was open to an attack, thus it wasn't the proper Heun ma (step). Then later when you did it right guarding the center and groin at 2:07 you miserably had your back leg in an odd angle not supporting your back weight, so you basically were saying "the step doesn't work and is unbalanced" then you purposely did it wrong to make it unbalanced. There's a lot wrong with this video. 2:57 you are showing the normal Bui ma step, which is what most Wing Chunners use. But it's begging for a kick or slap to the groin. You should actually be doing Heun ma more. If you sparr with Bui ma you are gonna be your groin attacked often. 4:05 is a retreating Bui step. Nothing wrong with it. Bui is easier to move in and out with, but Huen ma stepping is what we should strive for with nearly every step.
