I remember Paul training me as a beginner, hitting his palm was like hitting concrete block
@carmallym72863 жыл бұрын
I learned from his student, Sifu Mike Franklin. The guy also has the iron body. I've had an easier time hitting brick walls.

Then you should look up a man by the name of Manual Rodriguez who practices Chu Ka Praying Mantis. He is the man that did the choreography for Toph. Ps yes he does real kung fu not any of the mcdojo crap that's trending nowadays.

isnt that hung gar youre thinking of
@andrewcain92273 жыл бұрын
@@beebbeebson259 Hung Gar is the form of kung fu that all the other earth benders bending is choreographed from. But for Toph they used a unique style called Chu Ka Southern Praying Mantis. Now Chow Gar (which if I remember correctly, I may be wrong) is a branch off of Chu Ka which is the original style developed back in the 15th century.

One shouldn't bounce there energy. Eg. Dun poc (at 1.03). The energy i beleave he was trying to teach is called chum. I also believe one should understand something before one can teach it.

Right, I suppose a Master of 30+ years needs you to tell him how to understand a style he's devoted most of his life to :-)

that isnt chow gar brother. see Henry sue.

every practitioner has his own development; following one method may not be the best, otherwise there'll be no improvement.
@paulyrepa20465 жыл бұрын
@@yymjyyobjka1302 the further one gets away from the art it brakes down. the art gets better when the custodial (who is the only one that truly knows it) improves it. ive seen yellow belts have more form that that poser. im sorry but when someone puts the kung fu that i practice on line saying he's a master that piss's me off. one agen, if you wont to see "chow gar tong long" see Henry Sue.
@PantherFist19724 жыл бұрын
@@paulyrepa2046 Chow Gar, don't you mean circular tong long as Sue now calls his version of Chow Gar. I wonder why the name change:-) It seems strange that some of his senior students are jumping ship and learning real Chow Gar in Hong Kong now. I wonder why that is if his is the real Chow Gar.
