I'm definitely going to have to take a look into this pistol, I've been running a tourist TX22 for about 4 years now and I love the pistol aside from it not being able to cycle any subsonic ammo I've put through it
@vipervenom8215
@vipervenom8215 2 жыл бұрын
Reason most semi automatic 22 pistols and rifles can't cycle subsonic ammunition is due to low powder load in the cartridge, they only put so much in them where it can only reach velocity up to 980 to 1000 fps (feet per second), thats about as much as a pellet rifle, the recommended powder load for semi automatic 22s is 40 grain and higher where it's velocity and fps are higher between 1100 to 1600 fps, i ran different powder loads and high and low velocity bullets in my sig sauer 1911 22lr, from what I've noticed rounds 1200 and higher tend to cycle more cleaner and smooth without stove piping or jamming

I have had a Mosquito for years and absolutely love it. It eats anything I put in it and is a joy to shoot. I did not have to break it in with high velocity ammo or change the springs. well I have the CZ P07 Kadet 22lr, and so far it eats whatever brand I shoot with, only malfunctions I had were with faulty ammo (deficient primer or something). I have the sig p226 in 22lr… it’s an amazing hand gun. Only thing it won’t do is the slide doesn’t lock back after the last round. I called sig and they told me the sig p226 22lr is designed to dry fire so even though it’s a rim fire there are no issues with it. I try and use cci ammo and less stove piping occurs but even when it jams just rock the slide and it keeps on working. Nice video, nice gun.

My initial experience with my P322 was, unfortunately, very poor. I had approximately 1 malfunction per 4 rounds. I know that sounds crazy, especially considering I used 4 different types of ammo. I had numerous light primer strikes, mis-feeds, stove piping. I shot about 200 rounds through the gun and contacted Sig. They shipped the gun in-house and performed repairs. They ended up replacing the barrel (this interested me), adjusting the hammer seat and installing a new/stronger main spring. These issues are not isolated, unfortunately. Many, many instances of these problems can be found on the Sig forums. For a very new gun, that's not a good sign. More of the story, be ready to send the gun to Sig for repairs when you first get it. The gun now shoots very reliably and is very fun. I shot a few hundred rounds the other day and had one light primer strike, that's it. Regarding accuracy, I was hitting a 100 yard target about 50% of the time so it's very accurate as well. Cheers,

Pitted against the TX22 Competition model since they are at the same price point the TX22 is a better deal. The TX22 Competition has the red dot mounts on the barrel instead of the slide which keeps the red dot from shaking back and forth and keeps precious grams of weight off the slide to eliminate FTE. "Viable" is not the word i would use. Anything that's manual of arns includes "do a mag dump into the face of the enemy and say a quick prayer" is a range toy or something for someone whose so insanely frail that it was basically this or accept their chances. I mean it beats fighting with a pointy stick, but I'd definitely suggest having a pointy stick on standby if you're carrying a .22 to defend yourself from anything other than a rabid squirrel because you're probably going to need to pike the enemy with it when they're quickly closing the distance looking like they've been shot in the face with a pellet gun. That being said, I guess I'm buying another Sig. Although the FN502 tactical looks pretty good too...decisions, decisions. What an awesome problem to have!!

The CCI and Browning HP ammo had failure to feed about 2-3 out of every 10 rounds (disappointing). The Browning ammo was worse than the CCi. The CCI CRN ran better with 3 failures out of a 100. Used 6 different mags with similar results. Hopefully, I’ll get better performance after it breaks in more.

That is one sweet "Gucci" design by the Taurus engineers. Plus it looks bad ass a-la Beretta M9.

Hey great video buddy! Your Love of firearms and also the love of sharing with people is very evident. I own a Taurus tx22, and up until this video, it was the one 22 let for capacity, reliability, threaded barrel, agronomics, and most importantly price point. I'm sure if you spend a couple thousand dollars on a pistol you can find one that's halfway decent:) the capacity though on this one is impressive. Also the ability to put a red dot on there is obviously an improvement. Now I'm not a big red dot guy, unless it's on a AR-15, but more options is always better. SIG saying they're going to sell this for around $400.......... I'll believe it when I see it!. Would I myself go out and buy one, considering I already own the Taurus tx22, no I will not. Four rounds extra in the mag when it already has the 16 round is not a game changer for myself, but, a new buyer to the market, I couldn't argue with them if they bought the SIG. Quality seems to be hand in hand, along with the price point is around the same. Great gun great video!

My question is, how accurate is this pistol compared to 22 target pistols like the ruger mark iv. I know this is a really late question but I was looking at 22 pistols for my local pistol competition. I was going to get a S&W SW22 or a Ruger mark iv. I personally am a huge fan of sig and when I saw that this pistol is 200$ cheaper than the mark iv and comes with a thread adapter, I was very intrigued.

Well, I got one, and I'll say it's been a chore to get a full magazine out of this at times without some kind of malfunction. Lite Strikes, Feeding issues. One of my magazines looks like it eats itself. My P322 won't lock back on the last round, ever. Got about, 1,500 rounds through it and still having issues. Guess they really tuned up the one they sent you. I've been trouble shooting it and might see some issues that might be causing my problems, that one magazine, in which yes, I have most of the malfunctions on that one messed up magazine. I like the pistol and when it runs it runs. So far doesn't like Aguila, Stanger's, or Tippman Arms ammunition high and standard of both. Hoping that it will break in at some point and start running. I am wanting a suppressor for it as well, hopefully it will start working better. I am looking for different recoil spring kits for it.

Many new guns are the best ever by reviews when it first hits the market. We'll see how this goes after it has been used/abused by "regular" folks. They start out good and then have pros that people love and cons that people deal with. I have 4 22LR plinkers. 2 TX22's (one for wife), a Ruger 22/45 Lite, and a FN 502. These are some of the main pros & cons that "I" feel are important. I wonder how the 322 fits in here. TX22 Pros: Eats any ammo I put through it and has 16 round mags (+3 and +9 mag extensions are available for up to 25 round capacity). The wife's TX22 has Sig Romeo Zero and cycles flawlessly. Very nice trigger. Relatively short pre-travel, crisp break, and short reset. Reliable, accurate and fun to shoot. Inexpensive. Cons: Needs aftermarket recoil assembly (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) to keep spring from digging into the frame, which has caused the some people's frame to break. Dovetail plate for red dot does not allow do-witness. 22/45 Lite Pros: Very accurate. Eats all ammo. Nice trigger action (although I installed a flat faced Tandemkross Victory on mine.) Locks bolt back on empty. Takedown is super easy compared to older Rugers. Reliable. A joy to shoot (until the 10 rounds are quickly emptied). Cons: Not red dot ready (unless you go for something like a Sig Romeo 5 that attaches to the rail), which obviously does not allow it to co-witness. Only 10 round mags (boo) for everyone, regardless of state. 502 Pros: Very accurate. Good trigger break and reset. Red dot ready and co-witness with Holosun 507k. 15 round capacity mags (luckily, I've been able to get extras.) Cons: For me, reliability is still to be determined. Mine is finicky with some bulk ammo. First round doesn't always go into battery without bumping the slide (seems the recoil spring is light). Very hard to find mags.
