This is just the video I was waiting for. Very informative, and good size comparisons between these guns. I own a Glock 43x and ordered the Sig P365X Macro today.

All I can say is I’m glad I waited, I had the first gen Glock with the silver slide and I was looking for an optic way out and now the light shine from heaven, you are 💯 on the shield arms, now factory out of the box 17+1 and you can keep your rear sight with e optic , that’s what I’m talking bout preach bro !!

Awesome video. I like my 365 but really like the hellcat I just got.

I would say that not being able to press the slide release with an empty magazine is an awesome feature, not a bug. A lot of people complain that their thumbs ride the slide release on Sig Sauer pistols, causing them to fail to lock open on an empty magazine. This would prevent that.

I look forward to your shooting impressions. It does feel very good in the hand. Regarding your Shield Arms mags, i’ve never had any problems with either the first or second generations with my Glock 48. However, I did begin to a problem that’s when I added the Shield Arms mag extensions. So I took the extensions off and their mags continue to run flawlessly. Thank you very much for the video.

Mine too man. Cannot release the slide on an empty mag lol. Im sure mag springs will loosen up a bit after cycling rounds through it.

Yes, you will need a new holster. TRex Arms makes a sidecar for the X macro with or without a TLR-7.

Got one Friday. Done put about 500 rnds with 507k red dot . No problems. Had to make a holster for it. Be glad when you can get extra mags and other accessories

Just bought a 43x. I have been carrying a 19 or a 43 for a long time. Just glad to have a longer grip length with my single stack. I’m very much used to Glocks even with all their warts. The Sig seems nice too.

I have one arriving tomorrow. I carry a 365XL or a G48 everyday now. Mostly carry the 365XL. The Macro will take over that slot though once my holster makes it.

I recently shot the 365XL, 43x and 48. 43X had most recoil. Liked G48 but the trigger dug into my finger and actually became very uncomfortable after shooting for 15 mins. I had not experienced that with any other pistol or other Glocks I own. Sig was great. I could not decide so I ended up ordering the Sig AND a Langdon Tactical G48 (with Apex trigger). I live in a 10 rd cap state so mag capacity was not part of decision. Now I have to find a holster and more tough decisions to be made. lol

Just purchased one today after having a 365xl as my EDC. side by side you're looking at a hairs difference in height with the macro and that's it. Need to put some rounds through it, but this is a pretty big step up.

I've yet to personally handle one of these, but Sig is definitely raising the bar w/comps right outta the box. Oh & 17 rounds in a slim pkg, too? Mic drop!

I can agree that looking at it in pictures and videos it looks bigger but when I hold it at least in my huge hands it’s still a compact gun

I’ve shot Glocks for years as a duty weapon, but I was trained on Sigs in the Navy I loved them. I’m pretty sure the TLR-7 will work.

I picked mine up yesterday. I thought the same thing with the slide stop. Initial impressions are great except the trigger. I’ll definitely change the trigger out. I currently own a 365 XL and a G43X. I predict this pistol will quickly become my favorite. I carried Glock professionally from 1995 until I retired as a Georgia state trooper. Glock better up their game in a hurry!

With a round in the magazine, the follower no longer pushes up on the slide lock/stop. As a result, you will have no trouble releasing the slide by depressing the slide stop. (This is generally true of all semi-automatic pistols)

That sucks my shield arms mags work great. Only issue I had with cycling came from a red dot screw that was too long and touching the extractor. Once I changed that I never had another malfunction with my G48.

Never had any luck with the shield magazine either. If you notice it has too much slack in them, and makes them not run good at all. Thought shield arms would of addressed this already. Just bought the P365x macro today also.

Sig now makes a red dot with the holosun type circle dot reticle, the romeo zero elite, they also make a romeo zero pro that fits the sig pro cut p320, and the romeo zero r has the rmr foot print

I'm a Glock fan but that Macro is going to blow away the competition.Not just Glock all other brands too.

I just purchased the X Macro and I really like it. I own Glocks and Sigs and this pistol is perfect for me.

Only runs Hornady extreme defense or duty. Sheild mags. I still hate the triggers. Its hard for me to get my fingers on the trigger doing speed drills.

I really like the concept of this gun but, don’t like the comp side. I really don’t like gas and debris in my face and eyes in hip shooting or in closed areas, i.e., cars, home etc. So, if it’s possible to order a Sig P365x-Macro with the P365xl barrel and slide? That way you have the best of both worlds. Longer barrel, Reticle, Red Dot Sight ready, non-comp slide, replaceable back straps and large capacity. I’ve been a Glock guy and was thinking of ordering a Glock 43x MOS but it’s lacking the capacity. The Sig P365x-Macro seems to solve this problem if you can spec. order. What’s your thoughts? The slide will drop easy after 3 or 4 mags through it ! Mine broke in really quick. It’s a Awesome piece.

Check your magwell in reference to the shield arms not running, removed my magwell and runs flawless.

I've never held the sig before but I've held the 43X and as a glock 19 edc carrier that thing felt like a toy in my hand. So if the X Macro is the same size and you get 17 rounds. Man Glock is in trouble. They need to get in the lab and create some oem 15 to 20 round mags for the 43X and 48.

Nice review. Looks like SIG cleaned up the trigger compared to the P365XL's grungie, mushy trigger. Looking forward to personally checking the X-Macro out.

I carry a 365x. I went to the local gun store they didn't have any for sale but had 1 sold that they let me play with. The macro felt the same as my 365x. I couldn't FEEL the difference other than the spectre comp slide of coarse. So I may buy a spectre comp slide and the new grip module when they come out. Already have the same fcg and barrel. But the grip module may not even be needed. I'll put a 17 rd mag in my 365x and see how it feels.

I mean the comp is pretty cool and I also had the same Impression watching the release video from sig thinking "I don't think I'm gonna want that" but shit if it's the same size as my 43x there's almost no reason not to. What I don't get is why you'd ever want a sig XL if you can run a regular 365 with a 15rd mag, it's literally the same thing. Wouldn't you rather have the ability to use 12 Rd mags and use it as a pocket pistol and if you want the larger grip when carrying everyday then pop in the 15rounder. Doesnt this kinda make the xl obsolete? Cause you've got more capacity for essentially the same size and less if you want it with the same grip length or the modularity of less grip if needed for carry. I don't get what they're doing over there at sig but this does look like an actually decent carry option now that I can see the size compared to what I've got. (Also I've literally never had a malfunction with any of my sheild mags, I've got the extensions and the regular 15 flush mags and never a hickup as far as I can remember)

I'd like a non comp'd version with just a long slide. Don't want to blow my ears out if I ever had to draw this thing.

For 15 rnd Glock 43X mags try the ProMag magazines. No need to change mag release button.

Put a snap cap in the mag then try to release the slide, it’s by design to not release on empty mag

I believe in my heart that I need that Sig, and if I follow my heart I know I will ended buying it

One thing is true the glock is definitely more reliable just common sense there but the macro looks nice

hellcat pro is 15+1 and 17+1 with factory mags and it comes with 6 mags and a bag right now for almost 300 cheaper..plus watch sig make a better version 5 months later maybe a 15 round version lol..

Do you have a gap between your optic and slide??

Ope I think my comment deleted when posting. Anyway 1. You didn’t really talk about the trade off of recoil reduction vs muzzle velocity. 2. S15 mags are shorter, so the 17 round mag isn’t revolutionary in the 1.5 stack game. Comparing it to the double stack game, the 26 with a 17 round mag has been around for a long time. Thanks for showing comparisons and showing the 17 round mag in the 365. I think the mag itself is much cooler than the gun. My wife is a Sig fan, maybe the longer grip would be nice for a bed side gun.

I’d hope Sig comes out with one that has the 3.7 inch 365xl barrel.

Only complaint is they don't have a 4.5" version that isn't comped. I like my fullsize lights and this one can't run the HL/300/350.

I don't think it has anything to do with the magazine spring. I just don't think the mag spring could be so strong that you can't push it down (and you pushed the follower down easily while it was out of the gun). It think it must be binding somehow. I would get a punch and try to push the follower down by the small spot that makes contact with the mag release (while it's not in the gun). I think that might show it's binding. Can probably be an easy fix (I hope).

Been used to Glock for awhile but thinking about this sig. is it fairly easy to get used to the sig grip angle from using Glock a lot?

The screw you’re using with your holosun is probably hitting the extractor and making the sheild mags unreliable a few other people had the same problem

Glock 17 & 45 would also be a viable comparison video too. This squares head to head with their ammo count.

You don't need a thousand round break in on a striker fire pistol it's not a quality 1911 with tight tolerances.

I got one last week. Same thing with the slide release...NO WAY will it drop with magazine inserted! I had a 43x and had shield mags that causes stoppages pretty regularly.

That’s weird I have never even shot a stock mag out my 43x switched it all over to the shield arms set up and have never had an issue

The "not being able to push down slide release on empty mag" is a feature not a bug. that's on purpose.

Anyone noticed that the tubes or bodies of the magazine seem to be the same manufacturer or design as the shield s15 which is actually manufactured by checkmate by the way.

What these compacts are doing right IMO is giving people more finger grip (with average sized hands). This is what feels so good about it to me. While a G43 is SS the actual size of the grip is bigger. You squeeze it between your fingers and palm but don't have as good of a marriage between grip and hands as on the X-Macro. Then with the extra length of the grip itself you have a really good feel. Only thing is it makes the comp useless IMO. I hate the idea of my G43 having a longer barrel than the X-Macro. It doesn't make any sense. In the end it's the ergonomics and Sig brand name which comes with some real nice machining and tolerances that make me buy the gun but it's still about $200-300 overpriced. For $650 to get a Hellcat Pro +5 mags it's really a no brainer.. The X-Macro is not a replacement for the Hellcat or really a good competitor.. I plan to own both but got the Sig first cause I figured I might trade that bitch after playing with it for a few months.

So I’m looking to buy my first carry gun and have my eyes on the 365x . Should i go for the macro or stick with the x. I like the height of the x being 4.8. I didn’t wanna go with the 43x because it’s over 5 inches and this one is 5.2 so kind of a no brainer or are all of these pretty easy to carry? Appendix. Really want the gun to be comfortable and small as possible but I want least 10 for capacity

I own the 365xl, the Hellcat and the Glock 43x MOS, all 3 are great carry options, but whatever one I carry I also carry a spare mag and not really because I think I’m going to be in this big fantasy shootout and save countless lives but for the simple reason I have a mag failure or some type of a jam where I need to drop the mag clear the round and insert a fresh mag. I pulled my firearm twice thank God I didn’t have to use it, (10 years ago) once on this dude that was slapping his dog and then he found it funny to release the dog on me but once the laser hit him from my J-frame 642 he pulled the dog back and the other time about 8 months ago at 12:30 am I stopped at a Walmart parking lot ( just to get out and stretch) and these 3 hood rats decided to get out of their vehicle which was already parked about 60 yards away and decided they just wanted to talk to me meanwhile 2 came towards the front of my vehicle and the other one from the back once they saw I was ready to confront them with my hand on my G43x but still in the holster they turned away.

How much taller is the Macro vs the 43X - I couldn't tell, but the Macro looks taller although not much to mention.

It's funny you have that "problem" with the slide on the x macro, my p365x does the same exact thing. Maybe it was meant to do that for safety reasons.

Sigs are always stiff on the slide release. It will loosen up after a 100 rounds.

Sig has stated you cannot put a threaded barrel or XL barrel in any comp slides

Crazy people have trouble with the SA 15 round mags for the 43X. I have had 0 issues with all my 2nd gen SA mags. Never tried the first gen.

I won’t ever put a suppressor on a subcompact carry gun. Kinda defeats to purpose of subcompact. But I get it, you’re into accessories.
