Sighting In Airguns with Iron Sights

In our Airgun Bootcamp series, we take a look at some airgunning basics and attempt to give answers, tips and instructions. In this video we are looking at how-to sight in iron sights (or open sights) to setup your zero point.

I was taught in archery to move the sight too far. Then you'll know how far to move it back. Works dandy with any type of firearm also. A good tutorial for beginners

Don't be afraid to make big adjustments in the beginning. As you get closer, make smaller adjustments.😃👍

Humans are not cyclop’s. Why don’t we line up sights to one side that fits our dominant eye. Isn’t it harder to level out two side instead of one.

Problem for me is that I have never seen the back sight you were moving. I've never seen a back sight like that which can be moved in the manner you used. It would have been much more helpful for me if you had FIRST shown us the back sight up close, and also then done the left-right:up-down adjustments so I could see it. This way you did it doesn't show me anything like that.

The sight is standard on a Weihrauch spring rifle. But the principle is used on most adjustable rear sights. You will just have to read which adjustments are used to move the same direction.

@@airgunsofarizona "read" where? What if your viewer does not know what a 'Weihrauch spring rifle' is? Are you trying to attract new customers with your videos? I think not with this sort of unhelpful answer. I was attracted to your business via Jessica withthe Iguana videos. Now that I am seeing how you treat customers, I'm inclined to move on somewhere else.

Sorry if you misinterpreted our response. Read means to reference your owners manual for your airgun. We cannot address all circumstances in one video. But, the concept we show here will apply to all rear sight adjustments. Clockwise may mean down on this sight, but could be up on another. So, take what we show in this video and try it. But, if you get opposite results, you will just have to dial the opposite direction. Hope this helps.
