Sighting in the EZV Sight Extreme FOC Arrows

3 жыл бұрынI was a great husband this year and the wife got me an EZV sight for Christmas. Time to see what this puppy can do. I was very impressed with the ease of and installation and quickly getting arrows on target. I am looking forward to not needing a range finder while bow hunting.

Love it. Did the same thing this year. Built my own arrows super heavy, extreme foc, and went with the EZV sight. My accuracy has improved a lot and my confidence in my setup is where I need it to be.

You’re spot on with the high FOC arrows and building your own arrows. People take their bow to the shop to tune the bow to the arrow, which seems backwards to me. I’m not tuning my rifle to the bullet. I find the bullet that shoots best out of my rifle. Same concept can be applied to the bow.

wanted to say thank you for the video. sighted my bowtech in at 25, had to switch to the 240 insert. shooting 650 grain grizzly stick. seems to be good to 45 yards so far. diggin the sight

Actually i got Troy to thank for the "extra" tinkering stuff.. It still hasnt stopped actually, finally ordered my meatheads!! Thanks Troy! Oh and i gotta mention I got my EZ V with the wrong orange inserts and they sent the green free of charge no questions. Told them id mention the good service.

Great video , I’m a heavy arrow guy in Texas, we have a rice farm with tons of hogs . Night and day difference with heavy arrows!!!

Something many don’t know is you can make a heavy (600 grain +) arrow eventually hit the mark even with a bow that’s not tuned. Because it’s so heavy it will fly off the string in the same trajectory each time. Like a heavy mortar round. Even with a crazy heavy arrow you will loose some amount of energy ( momentum) if the bow isn’t tuned correctly and then tuned for that heavy arrow your going to hunt with.

I love watching high FOC arrows fly. I shoot 200 samurai and 170 inserts/outsert atm. It almost looks like they have like an extra second or 2 of penetration. You can actually see the pulling effect of the FOC.

240 gizz stk 315 ashby head and tuff head 315 grain ....it drills nice.

I also have several different ones the 315gr did snap at the threads when it went through a sheet of plywood

What distances have you shot out to with your EZV with the heavy arrows?

50 yards. I regularly practice from 20 to 40 yards.

I can't see out of my right eye but I'm right handed and I can't pull it back left handed...what should I do. I want to bow hunt so bad guns are easy...
