Signia Pure Charge+Go AX review

In this video I have a close look at the Signia Pure Charge&Go AX hearing aids.
They follow the Charge&Go X and the new AX processor has some real improvements. In fact each AX hearing aid comes with two sound processors, one for speech and one for surrounding sounds. That helps to deliver better speech clarity in noisy situations.
Own Voice Processing (OVP) helps the wearer to hear better without over amplification of the own voice.
Also new is direct streaming to iOS and new Android devices, so you don't need an additional device to stream music or phone calls from the smartphone into the hearing aids.
The body of the Pure Charge&Go AX is very small, in fact it's five percent slimmer than the Charge&Go X.
The device comes with a built-in Lithium-ion power cell that has enough power for 24 hours of use including 5 hours of streaming.
There have also been some changes to the receiver: It's made of Titanium and has a stronger cable connection, so the cable won't break that easily.

Good review. My wife just got charge and go 2 AX hearing aids. I realize this video is 2 years old, just wondering if you have any info on the 2AX

I just got some Signia Pure charge and go 7 AX Hearing aids. Do you know when the dry and clean charger will be coming out for those?

Hi Kyle, Congratulations on getting these great hearing aids! The dry&clean charger is already available. Maybe it will take some days until your hearing professional can order it, but Signia has already brought it to market. I couldn’t find an online store that already sells it, but I’m pretty sure that it will be available within the next few days. Best, Dave

My spouse has a Pure Charge&Go 3X GR. He loves it. It stopped charging. The charger says is is charged but it is not working when he puts it in his ear. He keeps it very clean so we don't think it is clogged. WHen he sticks it back in the charger after a few minutes of fiddling with it, the charger starts all over again with one bar lighting up like it wasn't charged. Is this a problem with the hearing aid or with the charger?

Hi Janet. For me this seems like a hearing aid problem as the charger seems to do his job. I'd definitely bring the hearing aid and the charger to your local hearing professional. When there is still warranty on the device it won't cost you anything to get it fixed. Hope that helps! Best, Dave

What’s the length of the receiver? Are they the same for everyone?

thank you for the informative video Phil. Which hearing aid do you recommend the 3ax,5ax, or 7ax? is it worth the extra money for the 7ax?

Hi Javin, that’s a great question! Which technology to choose depends on various variables, like kind and severity of your hearing loss or your social life (very active, many different listening environments or using the hearing aids mostly at home…). What I can say from our customers that got fitted with these hearing aids is, that speech understanding and sound quality with 5ax are better than with 3ax. Also, the improvements of these indicators we’re not that noticeable when going from 5ax to 7ax. When going for 7ax I absolutely recommend custom ear pieces, because you will hardly hear any difference to 5ax when you’re fitted with ear domes (the small standard silicone ear pieces). @@hearingaids-Dave Thank you so much for this comment! I am thinking of purchasing them when they will be available in my country. I have a moderate loss in my right and severe loss in my left ear. So now I know definitely that there's no use in buying ax7. I will not hear the difference.

Hi Dennis, not yet. And as the Signia devices are MFI (Made For Iphone) I doubt that pairing them directly with a Fire TV is possible... Maybe with an accessory like a StreamLine Mic, but that's only speculation...

@@cheeshun89 I understand your concerns, prices for these devices are running wild. Signia offers a worldwide warranty, so there shouldn't be an issue if you need the hearing aids exchanged. However, it is a good idea to have a hearing professional in Singapore for the repeating maintenance works like changing ear domes and wax filters. Best, Dave

Hi Vivek, I’m an experienced hearing aids professional but no audiologist. In the European country I come from there’s no such thing like an audiologist (only hearing aid professionals or ENT doctors). So I’m a good source of information for hearing aids and ways to hear better but I won’t give any advice on ear diseases or medication.
