That depends on the amount of earwax you're producing and can be between every 2 weeks to every 2 months.. As a rule of thumb: replace the ear domes when they turn yellow or when the hearing aid gets block with earwax. Best, Dave

Hi. When these devices keep falling out of your ear you should definitely try a bigger ear dome. Also, you might want to try to put them a little deeper into your ear (but please do it gently). The feedback makes these Audien Hearing aids useless, has the company do anything when you call? May first call did nothing to fix them, they gave me some instruction on how to use them like I'm doing something wrong. Basically, useless with that feedback.

Hi. There are only two ways to reduce feedback with these devices: use a bigger ear dome (what you did) and lower the volume. Unfortunately, there are no better options. One more thing: I often see feedback issues when earwax has built up in the ear. You might want to let an audiologist or ENT check that. Best, Dave

Studies show that wearing hearing aids without tinnitus sound generator can relieve ear ringing for the wearer. That's because the hearing aids amplify the surrounding sounds and the ear ringing is not so present anymore. You should try it out. If it doesn't work for you, you can return the hearing aids. Can someone PLEASE help me. I just purchased my mom the Audien Atom One Hearing AIDS from our local Walmart. She had lost her hearing aid at a store that day so I did not want her to go out without them while she is visiting with me this month. No matter what I do to adjust them for her I keep hearing a very long beeping sound coming from the hearing aid. Can anyone help me figure out how to stop this noise because if it is bothering me from across the room it has to be annoying her as well. We have tried them on each of the five levels and no matter what they beep. Currently she is only wearing the right one. And constantly all it does is beep

Hi. Audien has a pretty good help section here: audienhearing.com/pages/help-center-new/ Basically, there are two ways to reduce feedback with these devices: - lowering the volume - getting a better/tighter fit in the ear (ie. with a bigger ear dome) If both solutions won't help, then there might be some ear wax in the ear canal. A hearing professional can check that. However, if nothing works, the hearing aids might be defective and need to be replaced. Hope that helps. Best, Dave

Hi. The best and easiest way is to replace the ear wax filter. If the ear wax is deeper in the hearing device, you might try to pick it out with a thin needle. However, this is very risky and the hearing aid can be damaged easily! I recommend visiting a local hearing professional. He may charge a few dollars, but it's definitely better having a professional handle it. Best, Dave

The rechargeable battery should still bring you through the day after 3 years. It is important to have a least three years warranty with these devices, so Phonak will replace them free of charge if the battery life should come to an end. Best, Dave

Hello, The best way to avoid feedback at higher volumes is to get a deeper and/our tighter fit. You have probably tried bigger ear domes already. Try going for a bigger sized ear dome, even if it didn’t feel too comfortable in the beginning (it will get better soon). Otherwise, there are not too many ways to handle feedback with these devices. i had just bought a pair of phonac hearing aids 3000euro after 2 weeks I lost them,I couldnt aford to buy again so I tried 2 diferent amazon typs,all dreadfull,Im afraid ill just have to go on with bad hearing.Just posting this to inform,and warn others .Also to insure their aids,I forgot to..PEACE AND LOVE.

Not so strange 😉 If you manage to get a right fit with the ear domes they will probably stay in the ear for a while. However, I would not recommend wearing them for these activities as they can be lost easily while doing sports.

Thank you for your informative review Dave. I received these about a week ago and while they are not perfect, they help a huge amount. For someone considering these, don’t expect a miracle for $300 when most prescription hearing aids are $3,000 and up. I’ve found these take a few days or more to “play” with the ear tips, find the correct size to help stop the buzzing or feedback. For me, I go up one size. It’s a bit uncomfortable for a few days until your ear gets used to the tighter fit. I use the medium in one ear and the large for my other ear. Then the program and volume is a bit challenging. I need to change both settings in both ears depending on my situation such as being alone talking with 1 person or in a crowd of people. There’s no perfect setting to simply set and forget. Almost every situation requires a few adjustments which takes several minutes. BUT you can’t get much better for this price range. I’ve lost 70% of my hearing and a bit more in the other ear. With these, i can hear pretty well at a group dinner party, or I’ll say I can hear good enough but far from perfect. In my conclusion, they are definitely worth a try, especially if you can’t or don’t want to spend upwards of $3,000 for true hearing aids. Thanks again Dave for your review. It’s one reason I like these so well. But if true hearing aids would make me hear close to how I used to hear in my younger days, I’d probably spend the $3,000. Ive just known too many people that spent thousands of dollars are still are not happy. I’ll be honest, if I had spent $3,000 on these, I’d be extremely disappointed. Hope this helps some of your viewer make a decision.

I got them about two and and a half months ago, and didn't change the wax filters until today because one of the hearing aids was sounding muffled. I can hear much better now that I changed both of them, so maybe I should it do it a little more often!

I just got a pair today. They wont pair and tech support is non-existent. I've tried calling 8 times with no response and tried emailing them with an auto reply back stating that they would get back to me within 48 hours. 0 out of 10. its bad when my 100 dollar walmart pair works better then these.

I bought these and went thru the one week trial and went thru the company video to get used to them. I could never get used to the poor sound quality. Listening to others talking and not hearing their real voices was terrible. Listening to music was a waste of time to try to enjoy as there was no difference in sounds.

Did you check if the speaker is blocked? Earwax or other stuff can block it easily and then you won’t hear with them anymore.

Absolutely horrible video. Deplorable production qualities with horrendous acoustics due to zero sound deadening in a space with hard, flat walls. Either your accent or your diction or both are so bad I can barely understand you. Watched ten seconds and stopped and won’t be returning to your channel. Do your homework on production values before putting out such low quality content. For a channel devoted to hearing this a total joke. Down thumb!

I changed my health insurance plan, so I was able to get a set of the Signia Active X Pro aids. Yeah, these things do make voices easier to understand, but overall the sound quality sucks. Mine were way too tinny after the audiologist first set them up, and there is really only a volume and tone control in the very lame app. They are okay now that the audiologist adjusted them. I was setup with around 5 programs, but to be honest I could not tell the difference between them. The app also does not remember settings. It always reverts to the default. So, if you are using the Universal program and change the volume and the tone, then turn off the aids or switch programs, the app will not remember the adjustments that you made. Although these have a list price around $3700, they also don't sound nearly as good for music as a $37 pair of earphones. And, where cheap earphones usually give you a graphic equalizer, these expensive hearing aids won't let a user adjust anything. All adjustments need to be made by an audiologist, which sucks. Then there is the facts that unlike a cheap set of earphones these expensive devices only work with iPhones for streaming. Oy...
