"For yet,in a very,very little while the Coming One will come and not delay." (Heb.10:27.)How do you fit 2,000 years into a "VERY,VERY little while?" How can 2,000 years NOT BE one heck of a delay.? The Rapture and the return of Christ at His second coming ARE the same event. It is the last day of earths history event. The church itself will go through the tribulation as exemplified in Revelation 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, (the church) and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Who else keeps the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ? The bible tells us that probation closes at the beginning of the tribulation of the plagues. Which means from this point the saved are saved and the lost are lost forever. No more switching sides as it is written in Revelation 22:11 "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." No one gets left behind. The saved will be caught up when Jesus returns and the lost will be destroyed on that same day. No such thing as a second chance, it's not biblical.

I think that is very possible. The world may use that as an explanation for why all the believers disappeared. Revelation 13:11. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. This could be a possible explanation although we don't know for sure. There is debate on this but in the end it will be God's perfect timing.
