Well people who aren’t over their ex shouldn’t begin new relationships, it sucks

My wife just shared she has special feelings for her ex. I cant even look at her anymore.

Also a red flag, she still has photos of her ex.

After 2 years I just gave up on a relationship because she was still emotionally attached to her ex. I finally had enough of it. I knew this was an issue from the first month and waisted so much time with this person. If a girl still has any attachment to the ex. Don’t waist your time.

You can never fully love your next love until you let the past love go, fully let go. No contact.

I have this perticular situation with my girlfriend. We met in april of 2019. Her ex boyfriend that she was with from may of 2018 to about Jan/Feb 2019 died in the same month as we met eachother. She was in total chock. They were not together but she was really in distress about it. I asked her if he was ok with me still seeing her and she wanted me to. But as time went by. I could tell that she wasnt just sad that he died. Ofcourse she would be I am not a monster. But the thing is they broke up because he was doing drugs and that was the thing that eventually killed him. But she still loved him very much. She wore his clothes. Played their song. She did alot of things. Drank alot and even did drugs at occations. But all the while she still wanted to see me. As my feelings grew. Her chock just wore of and got into a hard hitting grief. She never said it to me. But I think that not only was she sad that he passed but she realized how much she still loved him. It was obvious. We broke of after a while as the situation wasnt good. I mourned the loss of her love and affection. But in January of 2020 we met again. It felt totally different. Like she was alot more "present" with me. And she felt alot more like she was in the honeymoon phase with me this time than the first. Ofcourse. And I was so happy she was back as I love her so much. Like two months later I mustered up the courage to ask her about her feelings about her ex. She said there wasnt anymore romantic feelings in that sense. So I was like ok. But time went by and she was still kinda off. So one night I ashamedly admit looked in her phone for any clues. There I found it. She had written to a friend of her and her ex that she thinks about him all the time and misses him so terribly much. That I can take. But the next thing I read was that she wrote ".You know he was my one true love". My heart shattered and I layed back her phone by her side and cried silently for myself. I felt so utterly ashamed for finding that. Also for being jealous at a guy that has passed away. But mostely because my girlfriend felt that way. It hurt me so much to know that I will be her nr 2 for the rest of my life. I feel heartbroken and I dont know what to do. I cant stop thinking about it.

I was married for 12 years and had two kids with her. When we divorced I divorced her whole family lol. I only speak to her about my kids... when you picking up, they have a fever, doctor said this and that is about it

momentum or sentimental things don't always mean you want to take some one back at least not in my case; once is broke is broke meaning no text, no emails, no stop by, no social no calls, etc etc. to me the brake up and get back together game is childish stuff, also that will prevent anyone to move on

I remember back in my last year of school when I was 18, the chick I was dating was telling me about her ex and how they didn't work and then, without stuttering, she told me she has a crush on her ex and even went as far as saying, "maybe in the future we'll get back together" Bro... I just stood there and said "mmm" and watched her continue to ramble about him and describe him in relation to me even, saying shit like,"he's a little taller than you are," and I just let go on cause I didn't want to say something and look needy and jealous but boy oh howdy lemme tell you how that relationship ended up. After school she had my number I gave to her before we closed and I never got hers cause she lost her phone a couple months prior. And for the next 2 months I got no contact from her whatsoever. I then decided to go on Facebook and look for her so I could just end things since clearly it wasn't working out. I found her and she told me she already had another bf and thought we were already split up. Fuck man, that was the dirtiest move ever bruh. Ever since that experience I've learned never to be a pushover ever again, and also not to tolerate shit like a girl talking about her ex like he's some angel sent from heaven. Should've left her earlier honestly. Also this girl would always ask for money and I'd give it to her whenever I could, damn, I was so naive...

My Wife seeks make validation from this specific guy who’s been probing her life/relationships throughout time. She was 18-19 when they met and he was 36 at the time, but was playing around messing with other women and made her believe that she was crazy during that time. As soon as she left, he ridiculed her for not ‘waiting for him’ or ‘how could she move on’, etc. afterwards he started stalking her and convinced her to hang out behind her prior husbands back. Bar hopping, hanging out, communicating in the shadows, and now the same cycle is happening to me. I hate that I had to find out by invading her privacy. But if he’s just a friend, there has to be transparency and at least, get to know me if you’re scared of losing your friend. Friends don’t hide each other right?
