I’d like to NOTE as a neurodivergent person: touching without consent IS NOT OK for most of us (or other people) even if you do it out of love and comfort. It took me some time to realise this: I always felt violated or dreadful whenever my partner hugged me out of nowhere or patted me on the shoulder to comfort me without me seeing it coming, but as soon as we talked about it, they’d always voice their actions beforehand and this significantly improved my comfort levels and our relationship 💖🌸🌱 Communication is always key to any relationship, even when you’re confused and not sure, just saying “hey, that felt weird, idk why but let’s talk about it so maybe we can figure this out together?” is a big step to clarity!

So... Regarding the last point, I know a girl who called me her best friend, that's all fine and good. But on Valentine's day she sent me a couple of flirty memes and messages, and less than 3 days ago she flat out told me:"I can be your corpse bride if you want" (she and I are a goth and metalhead respectively, bear with me) to which I replied:"First be my gf and then I can marry you" to which she delightedly liked. She was very shy and hurt for her past with her ex, among other things, and now she's so open with me. We went from complete strangers, to confidants to besties, to what it appears to be:"alright, we like each other, we just don't say it with these words", which is nice ngl. It's interesting how it developed in less than a year...

My crush kind of confuses me. He's started talking to me a heck of a lot more in the last 2 or 3 years, it used to be that we might exchange a friendly hello if we passed in the hallway, and now we're having entire conversations out of nowhere. (I should mention his younger sister is my bestie) Don't get me wrong, the extra attention from him is nice and all, but it still kinda freaks me out. I don't know if he's decided he wants something from me or just wants to be better friends. I get the feeling he was showing off (he was showing off) at the pool for me. He jumped off the diving board and so I look under water to watch because he said he was going to do a trick. He lays down at the bottem of the pool (in the "sexy model" pose) facing me, and it was kinda hard to tell (he was wearing goggles) but, I think he was looking right at me too. I have no idea if this actually means something or if I'm just obsessing. Can someone offer advice?

I have a gym crush for a good 4-5 months now. We’ve had a lot of eye contact, sometimes he comes near the machines Im at when the one he usually goes to is being used. He definitely looks over, turns red as a tomato, and quickly turns away when I accidentally catch him looking. There was one instant where I came back from a 10 day trip. He comes him with his twin brother (yes identical twins but you can tell the difference because my crush had a tattoo on his arm and the other doesn’t.) as I finished a set and stood up to breathe, his brother nodded his head my way and my crush immediately whipped his head back and turned red as we made eye contact. I was caught off guard cuz I didn’t know they were even there that day so I turned red and quickly started another set. I personally would like to start off as friends but how do you approach someone at the gym you’ve never spoke to before? What if I’m completely wrong and he wasn’t actually looking at me? Sure I’m crushing on him but I’m very wary with people and would like to get to know them first then dive in head first. (I’ve never dated before, I’ve been in a position of talking to a guy but it never moved on from there especially since he stood me up for a first date. Tho I take the blame for some of the reasons it didn’t work out) idk what to do🥲🥲
