I had a pig many years ago. His name was Patches because he had the cutest markings. Half his face was orange and the other dark brown. I used to hold him against my stomach with him looking up at me, making contented clicking noises with his teeth. When I would call him he would do his little “piggie” dance, wiggling and purring for me. He was the sweetest pet. After 40 years I still miss him.

My pigs don’t even move when we clip there nails! It’s amazing! I have my mom do it she’s really good at it and careful

One of my guinea pigs is terrible when cleaning their cage! 😂 He purposefully walks where I’m trying to scoop and sometimes even trying to take the scoop out of my hand or rummage through the pile I just made! But I love him because of how funny he is 😂

My roommate and I are fostering a guinea pig for our local small animal rescue, he does all of these things and loves to climb on us if we lay down on the floor with him during floor time. He’s an oddball and doesn’t get along well with other piggies, we think he may have been a sociable human in a past life lol. My guinea pig Luna trust me, when I pick her up to get her out of her cage for play time she jumps on my hands and crawls up my arm and lets me carry her. My other guinea pig Lola always greets me when I get home from school, she always squeaks for me when I come into the room. I LOVE MY PIGGIES

I just rescued a retired class pet guinea pig and she already does most of these which makes me so happy 💗💗

My boy LOVES hearing people talk, he'll do his own thing while I talk to him and sometimes he does the yawn and curls up for a nap. He's not one for being picked up, he just loves company, he loves people. He doesn't get along well with other guinea pigs, as he was kinda bullied by his old cage mates before I adopted him. But he does have two mirrors in his 7 sq foot cage and a guinea pig plush to snuggle with whenever he wants. He popcorns p much daily and even at 4 years old still behaves like a strong young mans. He gives kisses and nibbles, and p much always let's me pet him. LOVES gentle ear rubs, he'll close his eyes when I do it.

When you realise they do all of these and get a feeling of pride 🙂

My guinea pig was a rescue from an abusive home and took a very long time for him to trust me. He showed the most trust he's ever shown me in just recent months but unfortunately he got a neurological problem and passed two days ago. He was only two and I can't help but feel like it was my fault, but I know that they are fragile animals and that I did all I could for him. This is my word of caution for guinea pig owners. Please remember that your guinea pig is very fragile, and that your guinea pig trusts that you'll take care of them. I know that seems obvious enough, but sometimes I see people who own a pet and they completely neglect it, and it's so heartbreaking.

My piggies really love my mom when It’s food time, they would run up to the side of the cage and start trying to nuzzle their way out! Also when they do that, one of my piggies try’s to eat the cage bars which once chipped her tooth! Now we are trying our best to stop her habit of chewing the cage.

they also run away as a play. If they run away because they are scared, they would stay hidden but they immediately come out. They taunt you a little bit, the same like squirrels and other rodents do. It is the reverse of cat's play "I hide and ambush you". Guinea pigs are about a "you can't catch me" kind of play.

My piggy just passed away and he had ALOT OF trust and loved everyone he would be on my dresser and would jump in my arms and snuggle my chest... rip coco

They look to you when they are unsure. For example if they hear a noise and look at you to see your reaction.

My guinea pig junped in my arms whille we were visiting the Vet. She was very scare. Looked around all three veterinarians. Found me and junped, in my direction! I wasn't nearby. so i ran to get her! I reacted normally. But inside I screamming with happyness cause she was confident I would do anyrhing for her. I miss her so much!

I have really strong bond with my guinea pig. One thing he would always do is when i let him to walk around the lawn. He will eat grass and explore while eating and once he is bored, he would come to me, jump on my chest and burrow under my long hair between neck, even though im sitting straight. It doesnt happen because he is scared, he does it randomly.

Whenever I'm watching anything or studying on the bed beside them they come and sit on my lap on their own. I also share bed with my piggies (ik ik we've been doing it since 2 years now and they know their region and are very comfortable there) and sometimes my male pig comes and sleeps on my chest soo comfortably and then I'm unable to turn but it's priceless 😩😩😩

I have one! Even if piggy runs when you try to pick them up, they immediate settle down and snuggle into you once you have them. It took a long time for my Cinderella to do this. She’s the most skittish piggy ever, but once she is in my arms, she flops her head on my shoulder and goes to sleep.

Ohhh my gosh, so today at work I was able to sell a family their first two guinea pigs. It's something they've been working toward for months and they say they've been watching this channel, I cannot begin to explain how much this channel has helped them and me during this entire process. I was asked about vitamin C drops today and would not have known what to say if I hadn't seen the video you posted a few weeks ago regarding bad care advice. However this time I was able to say no and explain why. It was great, they got two of our 3 females and said one of the girls reminded them of Freida :) That aside, we had two surrenders come in that desperately needed nail trims, and today I was holding one of them (Darwin) and touching his nails and he seemed pretty unphased whereas before he was trying anything he could to get away, so that's a sort of relief that they must be acclimating to the store

yaaay my guinea pigs trust me! one thing, with one of my guinea pigs, if you try to touch her she will bolt as quick as she can, but when i’m holding her she doesn’t mind being pet 😂😂

When my piggy had a hay poke, she was very patient with me and let me put eye drops in her eye. She would climb onto my chest and try and lay down, and would eat a carrot from my hand immediately. I hope this means she trusts me, she also lets me pet her inside the cage. My other piggies not so much, they always greet me and love sniffing my fingers for treats, and always respond to my voice.

My guineapig has a special spot on the couch and if someone sits there he try’s to push you outta the way lolz

I had forgotten that one regarding nail clipping. They do immediately "forgive me " once the clippers are out of sight and my hand. I do wish that they would accept bribes in return for not squirming and squealing when I am trying to, super slowly, cut their nails. Well, I can dream....
