Yeah HBO did a show called Reverb it would come on late at night they did excellent live shows of this group mudvayne, disturbed, and other but these three were the best shows every they tried to copy MTV’s Unplugged or maybe they copied them 😂
@JBrooksNYSАй бұрын
@@bobbyolveda4155 Well Unplugged would do very famous bands and have them do an acoustic set.... Reverb would just tape a live show of a new up and coming band that most people havent heard of yet. But Unplugged came first.

I'm a music junky! As a Nightwish fan of 3 years I own all their CDs & DVDs. It's a matter of taste but I think they're one of the all-time greatest Power Rock bands I've heard. They've both male & female vocals. Tarja was replaced by Anette recently. Truely epic sound. Songs like, I Wish I had an Angel, Islander, Over The Hills & Far Away, Amaranth, & Pink Floyd's High Hopes marks them as worthy of listening. Many who hear them for the first time consider them their new favorite band.

This was the first time I saw Sigur Ros, when they aired this show back in HBO. I was so amazed I couldn't stop crying out of the impression. Last year I saw them in NYC and I had that feeling again, my heart in my throath, my jaw almost on the floor, and tears running in my cheeks. I can't think of anything more intense than Sigur Ros playing live...

honestly so much of a radiohead concert is how thom yorke is feeling on the particular night. anyone who knows anything about thom knows this. his emotions effect the entire concert. ive seen them twice, and one was definately better than the other, not the music, but in the way thom handled himself on stage. wasnt the same, hes easily disturbed and effected by outside things. one show was the best ive ever seen by any band. love sigur ros and radiohead both. both inspire me.

@@cbennett196631 they were amazing. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The reverb (pun intended) from Jonsi playing guitar with the cello bow was like nothing I’d ever heard. The big thing I remember is Orri absolutely shattering his drumsticks during Ny Batteri with splinters hitting the crowd. That was pretty cool.

I cut my musical teeth on the Progressive Rock era. I never thought that anyone thereafter could ever challenge the shear power & majesty of YES, EL&P, Pink Floyd, RUSH, Van Der Graff Generator, Moody Blues, Genesis, WHO, King Crimson, etc. but I happily concede that today's music is better than ever. With bands like Sigur Ros (I'm a fan for 10 years), Nightwish, Muse, Radiohead, Amethystium (super incredible 1 man band), etc., I think the musical baton has been passed without dropping.

I dont believe you can really say Radiohead gave a bad concert (having been to one myself). It's just that Radiohead tends to be more technically accurate in their concerts, while Sigur Ros improvises more. It's just different styles. You can like one more than the other, but you cant say any of them sucks. In fact, I think they are both terrific, and we should thank God or whomever for giving us the opportunity to see these bands perform live. I for one cherish every minute of their concerts.

I actually achieved the same sound that he is getting here. Any solid body guitar works (Les Pauls have a good design body that fits a bow nicely) i have humbucker pickups in mine and i think he does to. Just run it through a pretty good amount of distortion and A LOT of reverb. A delay sounds good too
