@@BackridgeButcher We had a few hunts for Reds and all went well Glenn, they did not want to be on KZfaq.I saw the program and very proud of him mate, he had take over the Cazador Restaurant 12 or so years ago that me and the wife set up in 1987 and served only Game meat.He is great with shotgun and i am so terrible at it, hahahah.Have a great weekend and best regards to all.

Another great vid, can't win em all. Know the feeling well. Missed a good stag a few weeks ago myself, hit a tree instead. That's hunting

It certainly is mate, it sucks at the time, but all part of the process 👍 Plenty of trophy trees have died over the years!!

Great video of real sika hunting, I know how you feel about young stags, did the same with a lovely little 8 in Harkness. No time and had to shoot! Great that your video's are so real and honest. looking forward to episode two.

Thanks Rod, really just trying to show how our adventures roll, no two trips are the same and plenty of highs and lows. Unfortunately some channels only show their best stuff and can give a false sense of reality for up and coming hunters

Thanks team. Hey Glenn, my mates use a Nite Ize CamJam XT Aluminium Cord Tightener as a pulley to hang deer in the tree. It's all of 40grams and can hold up to 127kg of weight (you can get a larger one for reds), run 2-5mm cord through it. I've used it on Sika with light cord (just run a stick at one end to make it easier on the hands. Can buy from Bunnings for $30. Works a treat if that's your thing. Tracking dogs don't lie
@BackridgeButcher3 ай бұрын
Awesome mate, I'll check it out, theres always an easy way!! I always prefer to hang my deer if possible...Nar dogs never lie!!

Hey BRB, enjoy your videos, well done! Just wondering which Hunters Element gloves you use for bush stalking and how do you find them? Cheers
@BackridgeButcher2 ай бұрын
Hi Sam, really enjoy the Hunters Element Crux gloves, helps keep that nasty bush lawyer away and its amazing how much your bare hands stand out in the bush (deer really pick up the movement)
@samkirk64342 ай бұрын
Awesome, thanks. Do you find you are still able to operate a phone, and have good trigger control while wearing the Crux gloves?
@BackridgeButcher2 ай бұрын
Not sure about the phone, but can definitely shoot with them on

Hi just want some advice how long after reds roar do they leave the hinds ? Haven't had that much experience with reds but i dont shoot the little young ones 😉.. much...gotta farm those heads regardless
@BackridgeButcher3 ай бұрын
That's a good question mate, I'm really not experienced enough in the ways of red deer, I'd only be guessing and probably guess wrong

@@BackridgeButcher alright well if I find out this weekend Il let ya know cheers for reply and great video as always ... really cold overnight here this weekend I'm hoping a few late hinds cycle they cycle like cows every 18-21 days but unlike cows 85% of them get incalf on the first cycle....
