Collectively we will be shining a light on Guru Nanak’s profound spiritual wisdom of Oneness.

Let us reflect and embody this wisdom - it can transform your life and the World.
How to meditate on Naam? The four stages of Mantra Meditation for beginners. Also known as Naam Simran, Nam Japna. This video explores
- Gurmat meditation
- the techniques of meditation
- why meditation feels difficult
- Sikh meditation in Gurbani
We believe everyone should know and experience spiritual bliss for themselves. Here at Nanak Naam charity we're on a mission to transform lives worldwide through Mantra-Mindfulness. Something is changing in me, I had always been kind of repulsed by religion, but also drawn to Sikhism and Buddhism. I used to pick holes in all religions then one day something changed and I decided to just give myself temporarily to a religion. I got an English translation of Guru Granth Sahib and I can't stop. I try and wake every day thinking Ek Onkar and to appreciate and acknowledge everything, EVERYTHING, as a gift. I feel like a weight has been lifted from me. Trying to piece by piece to remove my selfish thoughts and to think only of good actions. I am far from any Sikhs that I know of so videos like this are really helpful for me and I am so grateful.

the basic message of sikh philosophy is very simple. do what your heart tells you. listen to your heart. the english translations can be misleading too. but basically nanak did not want a religion with rituals and clergy etc. The first few pages of granth sahib known as the japji are where nanak lays out basic Sikh philosophy. He says theirs only 1 god and no other opposing force. he says god doesnt need worshipping

@@AmritSingh-mj8bt please stop spreading the wrong messages if you don’t want to pray don’t pray but don’t misguide others you need to listen to japhji sahib Katha properly to understand it from some experts. Word Jap used in japji sahib or jaap sahib means “meditation or say “ in Punjabi. Guru told us in japhji sahib benefits of listening gurbani then more benefits after implementing these in your life. So much more guru has explained in japji sahib.

@@uk4380 kulvir ji you are depending on experts but gurbani asks you to use the mind akal purakh has given you. remember their are no priests or experts in sikh philosophy. naam jap means to practice truthfull living. not repeating a word from the mouth.

@@AmritSingh-mj8bt like doctors ,scientists they don’t keep doing the same research and wasting their whole life reasearching the same things again which already been discovered by others , they just read the books or theories made by them and succeed in this field , it’s same about our religion I like to follows the experts or granthi who has spent their life in learning about this field rather than on you. Where in gurbani it says to use our own mind although I haven’t read the whole Guru Granth Sahib ji yet but in Nitnem it never been said like this . Are you talking about Guru Granth Sahib jis bani or yours? So you are asking me to not to listen to the majority who are in this field but you ? 😂

@@uk4380sorry you misunderstood me. I am not asking you to listen to me. I am not asking you to listen to anyone living or dead. I am asking you to listen to sat guru. Because in guru granth sahib that is who Nanak wants us to listen to. Nanak says he listens to sat guru and a sikh is anyone who only listens to the truth. science is considered science only if the scientists follow sat guru. For example when the wright brothers wanted to invent an airplane they had to follow sat guru to study the laws of nature. They didnt close their eyes and pray for flying ability but alotta older people and granthis will falsly claim that its possible to do so. You can only succeed if you follow sat guru.

japji sahib tells us to not repeat words or mantars. nanak says moonho ki bolan boliye jit sun dharey pyaar. "what can i say from my mouth that will please the lord?" his answer to this question amrit vela sach naao vadiyayi vichaar "when you start contemplating reality that time becomes never ending" this is true worship as other forms of fake worship have a beginning and ending time. but once you become attached to truthfull living you are doing naam simran 24 hours a day. please read japji with correct definitions. do not listen to people who are simply following what their forefathers told them sat sri akaal truth is god

nanak considrs repeating a sound over and over again useless. in the beginning of japji he writes "moonh ki bolan boliye jit sun dharey pyaar" what sound can I make with my mouth that would appeal to god? his answer is "amrit vela sach naao vadiyayi vichaar" keep the truth in your mind at all times of the day their is nothing we can say to please god and not only that, god doesnt need to be pleased. this is basic sikh philosophy.

Nanak is not the ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ. The perfect and almighty Guru is the creator, one like Permesur. Now the spiritually blinded Scholars call Granth as Guru. What a foolish interpretation of gurbani. That's not naam simran. I'm a partaker of naam and remembrance is automatic every breath I take. You philosophy is vain.

nanak never said he is the Guru. he said we should all follow truth itself as guru. satguru is not a person. since the granth discusses this philosophy it is considered part of truthfullness hence its satguru as well.
