Freddie was SO beautiful in mind, body and spirit. He was unbelievably intelligent, gifted when it came to music, and such a sweet and sensitive person. So articulate. And so physically gorgeous. Just beautiful to look at. But his soul - it’s apparent when you listen to his songs or his interviews - he was so emotionally deep. He was a very evolved soul. I so wish he was still on earth delighting us with his musical brilliance. There will never be another Freddie. Wish he was still with us.
@susiederkins7512 жыл бұрын
Well articulated. You perfectly summed up Freddie. What a man ! Emotionally deep - very evident from the songs, sophisticated, intelligent, what not. I so wish he was around gifting us lesser mortals more of his music. In fact, I am amazed at some of the lyrics of the songs he has written very early on in his career. To have that kind of depth from a 20 something year old is nothing sort of amazing. There will never be another Freddie - truer words have never been spoken !

All four members of the band were so soft spoken and so classy! I just love that about all of them. It needs to be said that Freddie's Annunciation of every single word in a song enabled people to actually understand rock songs in a way that they could never understand some of the screeching bands. Every word Freddie Mercury sang was pretty much understandable. Impeccable english, and my theory is that allows people from other countries to listen and appreciate Freddie because he speaks textbook English not slurring the words together and trying to sound cool.

His voice is so different here vs. just 4-5 years later. Maybe his smoking and all the strain of constant singing? If you listen to his voice in 1985---his voice is deeper; here a lot lighter. I like how he answered questions in these early interviews; I think in later ones, he seems a bit flippant and comedic. He's so calm, intelligent and respectful. So charming. vramakeup44: Yes, he said he often felt lonely as a young boy because he was sent away to school at that age. It's also funny to compare this to his later interviews when he gets a bit more cheeky with his responses! :)

Freddie is very kind to the interviewer. He gives nicely thoughtful answers to some lame questions, however there are some interesting questions asked as well. Thought provoking. @Justicia0072 жыл бұрын
@@DonnaleaSpencer I love it! I give the interviewer credit for a lot of it because he was asking a lot of musically interesting questions and Freddie loves talking about his work! Freddie was really picking the guy's brain when he started talking about the fact that he had seen their shows multiple times. What absolute geniuses all of them were, business geniuses but more importantly musical geniuses! Because the guy wasn't obnoxious and prying Freddie relaxed and actually enjoyed the interview. He had an actual fan interviewing him and he seemed to love that. The guy respected the boundaries and didn't try to take it into an inappropriate area because that's often times what touched off Freddie's saucy remarks later....(which were awesome and unforgettable 😂🤣)

@@CertainlyCaro.. I thought it a massive missed opportunity , and I also think that Brian & Roger come across as desperate to be seen as equals. @CertainlyCaro5 жыл бұрын
P. I never said it was perfect. I just said they did a great job. I implied that despite the flaws and such, Rami did a great job portraying Freddie Mercury in this film, something that I believe few people would be able to accomplish, maybe Sasha Baron Cohen would have been better in the role, but we'll never know. Personally, I wasn't bothered by the portrayals of Brian and Roger. As for the changes in Freddie's voice, I could *imagine* (because maybe it is possible) that it'd be difficult for Rami would be able to get the aging and weathering voice for the jump into the 80's. The historical inaccuracies do seem pointless to me as well, but I can tolerate it.
@delainepep225 жыл бұрын
@@p.5557 If you know Queen history Brian and Roger started the band. Freddie came into it and TOGETHER they formed Queen. All were a major part of the band. Freddie hated that people would not include Brian and Roger and John. It's all 4. The movie wasnt done in a certain order because time was the issue. Rami played Freddie to a T. I do not quite know how to say it but sometimes he seems contradictory to a point when he even radiates a sense of insecurity and I assume that is due to his intelligence because if one is as intelligent as him there never really is one version or one answer to something. I like that so much about him because it shows humanity and a kind of independence. It also shows humility and a humble self-projection. By no means is this supposed to be criticism. I don't know if its just me who feels that way

This find is a real treat. Freddie sounds like he is sitting in a bar having a conversation.

Where did it come from? Was it made for a local adio station during an US tour? A nice series of long interviews given by Brian, Fred and Roger in Detroit.

If he was still alive thered be no need for a different singer. Adam would be carrying on his own separate career as he'd started to . Freddie would still be with Queen if he chose to be , or perhaps working more in the opera mode,as in Barcelona. ❤❤
